If a points deduction is valid then it should be a points deduction.

I just hope they do it this week. To start the season get a few results and then deduct points would be demoralising and totally unfair.

A deduction this week fair enough and like pulsator2k7 says might set up a nice siege mentality. I love a siege mentality.

Hang on, if it's the RFL's rules, then why should any club be able to put pressure on them? Certainly why should clubs with a vested interest in weakening clubs around them to help them avoid relegation be allowed to try and dictate the RFL's policy?

After thinking about what i just said - on the other hand it shouldnt take a points deduction to make the players give 100% and earn their wages :/

There is a thread on wakefields forum which shows a letter sent by supporters trust to the RFL. Don't think it will have any influence on RFL'S decision , but I can see there point in requesting consistency of approach.

There are a few though who make me believe my father did right to leave that city and head towards Bradford all those years ago...even if that particular decision was based on taking a job rather than anything else. Good job he brought his love for rugby with him..bloody economic migrants eh!

It's nice to see Wakefield fans supporting us and asking that we, like they did before, get a reduction on any points deduction for agreeing to work with previous creditors.

I think they forgot to scan the page where they said they felt it only fair that they should have had half THEIR Sky money confiscated too.

But that's clearly implied. They've repeatedly said they want consistency and having one club on less money than the rest of the league is clearly not consistent.

Especially in a relegation year.

I think we need to try and avoid tarring the generality of Wkefield Trinity supporters with the same brush though. Most who I have met in person have been very sound chaps. Same as the Keighley supporters I have met. Hard to imagine a better bunch. But, in my experience, what does SO much damage is when people see or perceive injustice. Especially when the stakes are so high now. THAT is what is driving some of the Trinity supporters to apoplexic zombie madness, IMO. THAT is what has driven some of the Keighley supporters to the same in the past (and to this day).

And that is what is causing more than a few Bulls supporters, SO pìssed off with the comedians who have owned this club in recent times, and SO pìssed off with the dreadful unfairness of the Sky money confiiscation, to emulate them in these troubled times.

I do think we sometimes get too hung up on the odd bozo on the boards and assume they are in a majority, when most often it's not the case. For me that goes for Rhinos, Wildcats, Cougars and all the rest; for every tarmacdisgrace et al, I'm glad to say there are dozens of 'right folk'.

Good luck to him. He will only get the club if his offer to the creditors is better than the current incumbents, which can only be beneficial in reducing the chances of a points deduction.

Whilst I'm sympathetic to anyone attempting to pull our club from the catastrophic meltdown of 2012, but "monies recently advanced to the club by the RFL" suggest we're not a lot further forward (unless you count 1 year of reduced funding instead of 2). It also takes the club out of the dispute between Khan, Moore, Calvert, Whitcut, Watt etc.

Cautious, but could definitely be good news.

Seems strange that the RFL had their meeting last week re the situation and to decide the points deduction if any yet now it seems you are running under a temp Super League license for 28 days ?? So you shouldn't be docked any points officially until after 28 days ?
I know the RFL own the sub lease to the iconic ground & should be helping as seems they are but hell this has more turns than Silverstone .
Would be nothing wrong with another change of owners mind, absolutely nothing.
Its the admin's that folk get upset about obviously.

Would of thought any verdict on a points deduction will now be put on hold,although I still don't think we will get any deduction,regardless of the protests from Wakefield

Hopefully the RFL response to Wakie would be something like,

"Keep your noses out,just be grateful we dicked the Bulls out of 1.2 million and docked them 6 points, so you made the play offs that season and you got extra 50 grand for this season and last."

Is this guy in same league has Caddick, Moran or Koukash ? If so I think it would be fantastic for our club, something that we really need.
