We're arrogant attendance know alls about other people's crowds. I've burnt through five accounts on Huddersfield's crowds alone.

Other than that though we're pretty chill about it.

My idea was with the new stadiums, they just fit a thin screen to every backrest, if your seat is in the upright position, it automatically switches on the screen and plays a video of you. I have no idea why this hasn't yet caught on.

I've never worked out why they build stadiums with great banks of seats all in the same colour. When the ground is only a quarter full it's just so obvious and looks plain awful. If they put in seats in lots of random colours it wouldn't look anything like so bad.

I thought the uniform seat colouring was to make it easier for refs and touch judges to spot off-sides and forward passes?

I thought uniform seating was done because it was cheaper than having a bunch of different colours

To be honest, apart from the fact that, in a totally empty ground, it is quite aesthetically pleasing, I thought was done to incorporate logos into the stadium design, which does look OK of course, and it also allows the ground to be identified from the air, so it must also be an important aid to navigation for the pilots of low flying jets...

I'd have guessed that the pigments used in the mix to form the colours would be generally the same, to be fair though, but I don't know.

If they painted faces on the seats & played the piped music from the late 80s you wouldn't need to open the ground to species.

I once planted trees at Holmewood. They were a strange breed - the people, not the trees.

For my sins, I have delivered mail on Holmewood. Most folk, like people everywhere were as right as rain, but there were some characters, I have to say.

renewed our seats yesterday, cant wait for new season to start, hope its worth the £945 cost been saving up for months.

I was hoping to hear more about the concession stands around the ground a really good noodle bar may temp me out of the coral a little more often . I do enjoy the diversity of our support always nice to share a glass of large with those on the pop stand !

One of the better things about the ground not being 'compartmentalised' [is there such a word? into separate stands is that it gives 'niche' food and drink stalls a better chance of being viable than if they only had one stand to sell to. It does tend to be just burgers, chips and pies at most away grounds.

When we were at valley parade I remember being in a huge queue for beer and food, whilst leeds fans a few metres away had an empty bar that we couldn't get to for the locked separation barrier.

It's rat burgers and chips at Odsal too from what I've seen. There have been fleeting attempts at decent food in the stadium but nothing in the past few years I'd ever touch.

I'm amazed a curry stall has never taken off.

At the very least we ought to be able to get a pie.

Leeds fans would have been at the Pims & prawn sandwich stalls.

and jacket 'taties' with various fillings all at the top of the terrace, all along with the usual burger/hot dog/chip vans, Not sure how many are still there though.

Pretty certain there was all of that still there this season. Imagine offerings behind provident stand are a bit limited due to space constraints TBH.

That is the case mat, just basics. Limited also due to the smaller number of people in the stand, who can all go elsewhere for food if they wish and then return, but obviously those on the terrace can't come into the stand for food, so you're clearly not going to site anything too esoteric in there.

Two different stands selling pulled pork, apple sauce, and stuffing sandwiches have been available this season, as have pie and peas (with a choice of pork pie, meat and potato pie, and chicken and mushroom pie). There are many things worth complaining about at Odsal, but the grub isn't one of them.

How have3 i missed these stalls? Are they near the pop side?

The pork sandwich stand isn't there every game, but it is usually by the terrace section nearest the coral stand.

Because you're not as much of a fat as me and my associates.



And yeah, the pulled pork place that I have been to was right down at the far end of the pop side toward the coral stand, but recently could be found closer to the touchdown restaurant etc. The pie place is possibly peripatetic.
