| As a Saints fan i'm hoping you return ASAP, as superleague needs a strong Bradford side in the compertition.
I'd be gutted if it was my team, just hope your new owners can get you straight back up?

| As a Salford fan I've been well used to seeing my side yo-yo over the decades. The heartbreak and demoralization of relegation. The highs of promotion. Some of my best memories are from the Championship and the streamlining that relegation demands means that a fresh and viable start can gain momentum. Something that Bradford should be able to do on and off the pitch. I think it's going to be tough to gain promotion next season as I think that the new system dangles the carrot but makes it very tough for Championship sides to compete even with the lower end of the SL. Especially when it comes to what is available to spend.
Competition for promotion will be pretty strong too though, and you should expect quality RL against all opposition. They'll see London and Bradford as someone they want to raise their game for. Off the pitch will be more important than on it and getting those lapsed fans in should be priority.
I feel for the fans of the Bulls who have deserved better from their Club over the last few seasons. Hopefully that side of things will be sorted and rebuilding can start.

| Oooft - I never thought I'd see the day when this happened.
Looking forward to playing against you again and welcome to the Championship. At least with the revised structure you/we have some hope of gaining promotion.
For the fans who have stuck with you through thick and thin I'm sorry it's come to this but I hope you can use this opportunity to rebuild.

| I just feel a sence of relief this morning tbf - feels like a pressure has been lifted. Yes Im sad we've gone down, but from where we found ourselves this year it was inevitable and will hopefully be beneficial in the long run if we can compete to get back up. So the plan is;
Stay full time.
Build a competetive squad.
Get in the top 4 next year.
be in the top 5 of the 8 team playoff to be at worst an 80 min final from SL.
Simple

| eh, if Cas can claw their way back twice, there's no reason why Bradford can't. The door isn't being shut in your face - it's nice being the "big" club in the small pond for a while.

True, but difference is Cas had were in a legue that perhaps only had one or two teams who paying up to the salary cap and were part time.
This time we and the championship clubs have to beat other SL clubs and a much higher cap.
Bradford have all foundations in place to do it, excellent academy, big fan base, etc but it's going to be tough.
Hand on heart if we don't do it next year I can't see us gaining promotion as the gap of funding for each league increases.

| I am glad we have gone down, I find it quite exiting that the bulls can go to challenge what is an underestimated league. It is also good that we can start from afresh and see a new club develop for the future. For me its a weight of the clubs shoulders. I would like to see some young home grown players coming through. All positive for me.

| I would think its a certainty that the Bookies will price up the Bulls as short priced favourites - something like :-
4/5 Bulls
2/1 Leigh
3/1 London
4/1 Fev
6/1 Bar

| Thats a little presumptious isn't it. Hope you don't think you are too good to be in the championship too. Arrogance is not a pleasant trait despite what Koukash thinks

I've looked and can't find any team called "Early Bath" in the Championship.
In any case any team that doesn't have enough ambition to make SL never will. If they don't think they should be in SL then they never will be. What are you thinking? That we should impress on the players that they are just as bad or no better than the rest of the Championship teams? "You're shiit, and you know you are"?
I'm guessing you're not a sports psychologist.

| Not talking about the players. At least all the other clubs will want to knock you off your perch. Take the pressure off Leigh Fev and Fax for a while.
Either way you should finish top shouldn't you

| The funny thing is that Bradford really should walk the league, the problem they will have is that most of the good players are already signed up and they are already fighting around for the scraps while teams like Leigh, Fev, and Fax are putting the final touches to their squads.

So how do you think the conversation went with Gaskell and Ferguson before they signed up:
Jimmy: sorry guys, theres just a load of scraps around, some 50 year old 10stone props and a half baked half back kid. all the other SL2 teams have signed the rest. we have no plans for getting anybody else in, so you two are going to have to be the forward and the back, or you can play for another SL1 side. So how do you feel about a contract with us?
Ferguson and Gaskell: Yes please!!!!!!

| TBH, we've been relegated at probably the best point in the season for it to happen. It's round about this time of year when players are told yes or no that they're getting a new deal with their current club. So there should still be players about looking for 2015.

Pedantically, I think that's April. While the anti-tampering deadline was moved forward, I'm sure I read somewhere that clubs have to write to players in their last year stating the intention whether they'll be offered a new deal or not. Admittedly we may probably be in a different boat for a couple of reasons so I'm happy to be corrected.

| I've got a slant on P&R. Given that we do not have a sugar daddy in the wings as he/she would have come forward before what do people think about promotion. Everyone is talking about the best chance of any championship club have of getting promoted is to finish in the mid 8 in 4th/5th and the winning the one off play-off. What that means realistically is that they would be slightly better than the worst of the SL teams. Moving on a few months you could only see a season of perpetual struggle and back into the play-offs. What I would like to know is: would people prefer to get to the position of 4th/5th and then lose which would probably give you another season of relative success the following year or would you prefer to win and follow it up with a season of struggle.

Yes but you get maybe another £1.5m in Sky money and sponsorship plus a probable bounce on the gates so I would take the promotion risk. You never know Mr Loyalty Carvell might ask to play for us again?
