TBH, The amount of times our players suffer recurring injuries and the amount of time it takes them to get back from bumps, I'm pretty glad.

Pretty much what I was thinking. Hopefully Evans and Moseley will take our injury jinx with them.

Depends on who his centre is. I think outside Lulia he'd be a pretty good acquisition

Maybe but don't like idea in general of being dependent if one player covering another's weaknesses. What happens if lulia's injured and we have a defensively weak playing?. Would prefer all players to be at least average in attacking and defense rather than good in one and shocking in other which IMO is category foster falls into. That said beggars can't be choosers and can see a few 1 yr contracts being handed out this year.

| Not suggesting that Foster would be the player I would necessarily go for, but I do think that when looking at a young player, assuming that because he's not a good defender now automatically means that he'll [inever[/i be a good defender is pretty lazy thinking, to be honest. I'd guess any coach worth his salt would feel that a young player with quite a few attributes but one major flaw would be a challenge worth taking. He's not the finished article that's for sure, but he's still young enough to learn.

| May be, maybe not. Ainey puts with his heart and soul into it and, like a lot of fans, I'll forgive a lot for a player who does that.

| B4c same take ainy over foster any day. Give ainy some confidence and we might see him fulfill his potential. Agree about effort, he has desire and commitment and raw talent not sure foster is bad in defence or if it is just attitude.
Tony gigot is the French player I was thinking of other day, at Toulouse and can play 6, 7, and 9. 9 today but seen him play well at 6 a little similar to summit in that he can be off the cuff but lightning with a good step and reasonable kicking game. Would be good cover and take some pressure off Cain to come through if he is ever ready.

| Outside Lulia I think he'd be decent. Foster is a good finisher and Lulia is the kind of player that can assist Foster. Jason Crookes is a great finisher and look how much he benefited from Lulia.
As for goal kicking, we'd have Gale, Sammut and Foster.

| Assuming we get money for Kop-out Craig, think we should spend it on a prop. If we're going to get two or three more props in, lets do it properly. Think we should sign a big name prop and maybe two others on loan. Then we'd have five props.

| There aren't any big name props out of contract and don't think we're going to be paying transfer fees when it looks unlikely we'll even spend upto salary cap.

| Foster must be one of the most naturally dislikeable players out there, I just want to give him a good slapping every time I see him. But sadly I think there is the makings of a decent winger, he is filling out physically to be a big lad, he's got a bit of pace & knows his way to the line. He's also a fantastic kicker. He will definitely make a lower SL 3/4 in my view. Whereas Ainsough has bags of enthusiasm & little else, I'm afraid.

It isn't a lot but it's early days yet, though let's be honest, we were never going to get 10K again without the 'pledge' prices and I suspect - no, [iexpect[/i - the new owners would have realised that.
In any case, in the final analysis [iif[/i the people who don't, for whatever reason, buy a season ticket, actually pay up on the gate week by week, the income will actually be greater so spending on players shouldn't be affected. Obviously it does put a bit of pressure on to perform well and keep fans interested but I'm ever hopeful in that department. ![PRAY icon_razz.gifRAY:](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//eusa_pray.gif) FWIW I reckon we'll probably drop back to the pre pledge numbers of ST sales, which if I remember correctly were around the 5K mark or maybe a little under.
