I don't see how selling the clubs best young players secures the future of a club losing 100k a month. All it means is we enter administration later with fewer assets, less supporters, a lower league position and less sponsor good will. You can't sell season tickets on the back of player sales. What is being suggested is simply more of what's caused the problem.

Very well said. Selling players will not solve anything other than a quick fix of cash and we'll find ourselves at the same point further down the line, with less of a squad and less support.

Assuming my season ticket rises from £125 to about £250 next season (main stand) then they've either got to

1. Sell it to me on the promise that the second row partnership will be Bateman and Whitehead

or

2. Sell it to me on the promise that the second row partnership will be Sibbit and Walker

I think I'll be passing if its option 2

That's where I'm coming from. 20 + years season ticket holder, coughed up £200 when the begging bowl came out. They need to sort things out and tell us what's happening! I'll make my judgement then! If the outcome is sell off our assets then I'm gonna struggle to justify parting with my hard earned for another year of mediocrity. Add to the above that there is a strong possibility that Burgess will head down under and it doesn't make good reading.

We are where we are and its unproductive to point fingers anymore at past an present BoDs. If we are to survive then we need a cash inflow of at least £1/2M to get us HMRC debt free. The idea that we have arranged repayment schedules with HMRC for £250.000 of Vat and (at least) £250,000 of tax on players rights is a future revenue burden we can not comply with in respect of future cash flows.
We are very fortunate that we do have assets to sell that might secure our future. Sadly the only assets of value are certain players, who might have a sum value towards paying off the HMRC debts entirely.
When facing extinction some previously unpalatable actions become possible, then probable, then certain.
Bateman and Whitehead's sales might be enough to keep the Bulls alive in their existing format.

I'd rather support the Bulls with the loss of 2 of their star players than have no Bulls to watch at all.

And I have said right from the start that if we go into admin, without a prepack waiting, I can't see any satisfactory exit. It's not historic debt but lack of income that seems to be the fundamental problem. Neither administration nor selling what's left of the family silver can solve that. So I hope you are wrong. Once in Admin, I suspect it would be all down to blind chance.

I don't understand this, 'Lets sell some players to survive'. We only just got to 10,000 season tickets holders this year. Do you think we will let anywhere near that amount if the following happens?
Not reach the top 8.
Season tickets will be going up, prices doubling or more.
Loosing our best young players.
Replacing them with worse players
Become a feeder club everything we get good youngsters.

Are 10,000 going to pay £200+?? The answer is no chance.
They will retain the core fans, 4,000-5,000 maybe.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a pre-pack admin. Coulby's already stated that some new investors will only come in after the outstanding debts are sorted. That may then sort the income for any new entity. I get the feeling that we're being "warmed up" to expect it.

We could also sell the most wanted players to pay the tax bills which would then leave us open to investment. However investors would be less likely to back us in this scenario IMO.

It all depends on these mystery investors because without them we're scuppered and I can't see us continuing in SL or at Odsal.

most season tickets we sold prior to the cheap deals,including the successful period 2000-2005 was in 4k-5k region. We rely on being attractive on the pitch to get the other 5k+ as walkup support. If we can keep core of this team together then thats probably realistically achievable next year. If we lose a few of the top players then we'll struggle with the walkup support.

If we sold our brightest then I certainely wouldnt buy a ticket and I wouldnt walk over the road to support either.
