I think Potter is definitely putting together a side to make the top 8. We're still some class short of worrying the top 4 or 5 though IMO. I wonder if the next couple of recruits will address this? If we intend spending the full cap, you would hope so.

Well, you're in a minority with that assessment of Royston's signing. Most people believe Bradford have got themselves a bargain and that Royston is the arguably the Championship's best back and even that he's the Championship's best player.

One of the main differences between Championship and SL is SL players train full time, Shad has a rugby brain second to none, his positional play, backing up, defence are all oustanding, you will see a better Shad than we have and hes been our most consistent performer for years. He will do a good job for you and deserves some respect from people that think only aging ex NRL players can do a job for you. Enjoy your Shad he will serve you well and give Potter a chance before shooting everything down in flames.

His support play is outstanding, and his angled runs from scrums and breaks will cause alot of teams problems next season.

Thats the best part of his game, always on the shoulder of a player making a half break, and chiming into the line. If you get Orford back or someone similar, Shad running off him will be hard to stop.

If We don't sign a Stand off then I'm pretty sure Shad will end up forcing his way into being our first choice Full-back.

His ability to read the game, his angled runs and his backing up are all exceptional.
