Couple of points.
The sanctions which have been applied to us over the last 2 years are based on rfl rules. Which have been poorly written and leave holes, which are open to interpretation. Solly & Rimmer (at times) give the impression of making it up as they go along - or listening to who/what is applying the best pressure at the time. Which leaves things very difficult when trying to apply hindsight to see if there is any logic in this.

The other problem is to do with OK's appointment. The RFL knew that he wasn't a multimillionaire, knew he couldn't bankroll the club from his own pockets, knew that the administrator hadn't released any players, except for kopczak so we were pretty close to the salary cap. They also knew the length of contracts that players had and that the higher earners mostly had at least another year to go so options reducing wages (by far the main expense) would be limited. They also had halved his central monies allocation.

It has been suggested that the RFL have been concerned about Leagues perception at government level? Also they've alsways said that they're concerned about players welfare/wages and competition integrity.


What did they think would happen when they confirmed his appointment? How did they see the Bulls managing without central funding and with limited ability to reduce the wage bill in that first year? What pressure did (and are) the players union apply re welfare?

Was this 2nd car crash inevitable? Was that planned? or was it just incompetence (naiveity) from all concerned?

And yet the Club continued to sign additional expensive players

Really? Released about 8 people who had played in the first team squad.
They signed Foster & Sidlow....
And this was the start of loaning players, which we hadn't really done much of before. So Blythe & Ben Evans on loan from Warrington.

So we reduced our first team squad by 6 permanent players, but got 2 on loan.

That seems to be about as much that could be done in reducing the squad and wage bill within the constraints of contracts which have to be honoured, and player welfare.

We may have signed players but the squad was trimmed downwards in successive years. No arguing with the figures.

All those apart from Fakir were actually signed up in 2013 before the latest Administration.

All those were also signed up by OK before he stepped down. Subsequent owners have been left with trying to reduce wage bill Ok left them with, hence departures of carvell, winterstein, dammit and scruton. Fakir has been added once we were out of admin with a new owner in place injecting money.

Since this thread has plumbed new depths of pointless, pathetic pedantry; Ah Van and Lynch left at the end of 2011.

Although I'm not prepared to commit to saying if they left the club or the team or the business.

Some stirrer on wakey board claiming we've had a letter from RFL advising us to go into admin. Suspect he may have got his clubs mixed up if rumours going round last few weeks have any legs.

At the time that OK would/would not sell his shares to M.Moore then my reading between the lines was that we entered admin as a way to get OK out of the club and get the new owners in place. Now whether the RFL sanctioned this or not is a good question. The fact that we put out a statement saying that NO points would be deducted could mean the above poster is correct!!!!!

You might have misinterpreted what he meant.
I don't for one second think it is true, but the guy on the Wakey board meant that we have proof (the letter) that Mark Moore/Marc Green were advised to put the club in admin back when we did so at the start of the year.
It's not a letter telling us to do it now if that's what you thought!

That would certainly make more sense. Doubt it's true too but if club did have a letter from governing body advising them to enter admin and stating no points deduction would be applied, then could that letter be basis of our appeal I.e RFL moving goalposts after we've followed their advice?.

If that were the case, there is absolutely no way Mark Moore wouldn't have mentioned it during his rant after the 6 point penalty was announced.
He never mentioned any such letter iirc, so I doubt said letter exists.

Interesting that he mentions that the Pre-pack administration was set up by all parties(incl the RFL) to get rid of Omar.

If that letter is from W. And IF the bit about the rfl advising for the admin to get rid of khan is true, then I can see interesting times in court ahead, and IF any of that is true then I can see why mr green might well feel there is a case to at least discuss about the whole administration and sanctions being questioned.

Unfortunately it raises more questions than it answers, but cleArly, when you also consider fa's oft quoted and correct piece about the timing and protocol of the deduction the rfl do have questions to answer. Hopefully we'll get more details from the inquiry. But I'll not hold my breath for a satisfactory explanation.

All sounds a bit dubious to me. He talks of the administration being set up by certain parties, yet he was not there.

What does whitcut mean by "Omars sort?" possible racial discrimination from the governing body, someone will get lynched for that mention?

Blake solly the chief of licensing ADVISED bb2014 not to pay Omar thus sending them into admin, think if even part of this letter is true it is going to get extremely interesting extremely quickly and some will fry for they part in this, or even bring the RFL crashing down around their high horses.
