You know full well that the point being made, is not simply about being Salfords first game, it's about how every team starting a season on a high and with something to prove, seems to be given Wakefield at their home.

It does seem more than just a coincidence. But don't let that stop your one-eyed misrepresentation of the facts.

In the sense that Wakefield fans have started insinuating that other teams being drawn against Wakefield is a conspiracy to make their opposition's life easier. If only there was some kind of level playing field where you got to play with yourselves.

I don't necessarily agree, but the poster on here gave a single example, to create an image of paranoia.

The original post gave at least 4 examples of Wakey being set up as a "sacrifice".

Simple statistics suggest it's odd, but deliberate?? I would like to think not.

Forums are not well served by posters using selective or misquoting though.

Spouting a great deal of rubbish once more, but on the good site for supporters, shame!
One figure lets you down and lets us know who you are! For discerning readers the figure of £31.2 and £5.4 m are the product of an unusually strange and maybe mind.

Well, I've looked at the last 18 seasons of SL and given we are the child of Rupert Murdoch and Knock down Nigel, I am ing furious we've only ever got Wakefield once at home first up.....in 2010 and we managed to lose that too boot!


We have on the other hand, met St Helens at Home when we returned to the Broncos name (lost) Met St Helens in our first home outing as Harlequins Rugby League (massacred), Wigan were our first visitors at Griffin Park in 2002 (lost), met Huddersfield back at the Valley in 2000 (won), played Bradford in our first home game at the stoop in 1997 (lost) and had the filthy French at home in our first ever home SL game (won).

As conspiracy theories and master plans go, Wakey being the sacrificial lamb is up there with the best of them!

The club really, really need to get the word iconic added to the staduim signage around the ground before the season starts;

"welcome to the Iconic Provident staduim Odsal"

Away fans would like to be reminded im sure that their journey along the M62 was well worth while to visit such an iconic place, and then the rugby match and probable 2 points are just gravy.

We might as well go with it, maybe even produce a merchandising range in the shop to celebrate our stadiums iconic staus? You could buy Iconic Odsal paperweights to give to the special Wakey fan in your life? They'd like that Im sure.

There's a fourth thing the RFL will need to consider and rule upon that doesn't yet appear to have received much attention:

1. Did the entity owning Bradford Bulls go into Administration?

2. If yes, are there mitigating circumstances (I.e. Effective arrangements demonstrably in place for paying off the creditors of that entity) warranting a reduction in the 6 points deduction penalty to 4 points?

3. Is the new entity owning Bradford Bulls sufficiently well capitalised to warrant the Super League licence being transferred to it? But also....

4. Were the new owners of the new entity owning Bradford Bulls also directors of the previous entity that suffered the insolvency event? If yes, are there are mitigating circumstances warranting exemption from the requirement under the RFL Operational Rules, that they be banned from owning/directing a rugby league club?

Just heard Nutbush City Limits on the radio by that well known duo Icon Tina Turner

Where is that written down as the standard punishment? (i keep asking because people seem to know, as it is quoted often as apparent truth)

We were the only team to suffer 6 points, which also had a half sky money removed and distributed to rivals rider attached, is that also a standard punishment? Or do the RFL go case by case? Would 4 points reduced to 2 points be harsh enough?

Or do we need some more facts first?
