Sykes and Paddy/Crookes to miss out

fair comment but which forwards would you have put in ahead of sykes and royston? think olbison is still injured so that leaves o'brien,crossley and bateman with 1st team experience unless I'm missing someone. addy seems to be preferred option at 2nd hooker so that rules o'brien out. we already have 5 props in squad so thats crossley gone. Dont think potter would willingly throw bateman in against a physical team like catalans.

think its pretty likely that whitehead will move back into 2nd row with one of royston/sykes taking his spot. I'd go something like this:

True but weren't we even worse off in terms off injury then than we are now? Think the 19 named plus crossley,Bateman and southernwood are all the uninvited players we have with 1st team experience at mo.

I'd move Whitehead back into the pack and Royston back to centre.

Does nobody else on here think that Sykes is capable of having a great game? I know he has been bad in the past, but over the past couple of years it would be interesting to see how many times hes been played out of position.

I have no problem with seeing Sykes in the team if Potter thinks he's the best option this week. Royston has impressed me, but at full-back, so I owuldn't be that disappointed if he wasnt selected at centre.

The trouble with Sykes is he fails to be consistent. He can have a good game one week then follow it up with a couple of stinkers. If it was the choice between him and Royston making the team on Saturday, I'd pick Royston as he is the better player.

wirh sykes playing at centre, I only remember him having 1 poor game (salford), I dont mind him playing,

the sick he has received is a bit harsh, plays out of position to help the team and gets criticised when its not his position.

irritates me when at a game, certain 'fans' just spend the entire game shouting abuse, disgraceful really, puts his body on the line for this club.

everybody seems to forget, sykes is an international centre and was superb in his first couple of seasons, before the swapping of positions!

Don't have an issue with Sykes at centre just think Royston offers more. He's better defensively and also passes to his winger which Sykes rarely does.

Aye. Sums up Langley's value well. If only he could stop picking up injuries. He may not be very creative but he carries the ball as well as any other forward and is a much safer defender than any of the kids (yet). We'll miss him this week.

He's our best defender by far because he actually leads our line. Put simply when Langers is in we move up and when he isn't we stand still. The injuries are a real shame.

Wouldn't care if Sykes didn't play for the club again. At centre he just can't seem to keep hold of the ball and has a habit of wandering. The team hasn't missed him at all.

Its going to be a tough game today. The Bulls will have to be at their best and will need all the vocal support they can to beat the Catalans. Lets hope a big crowd turns up today.
