The first 5000 was always going to be the easy bit as that's pretty much one for one to (qualifying) season tickets. The next 5000 is the really hard work! Hopefully the club has a campaign plan that will keep up the momentum.

But [iobviously[/i, not everyone will, that's life. Certainly it is done on the basis that the substantial majority wouldn't have pledged if they wouldn't pay up, but the answer is bleedin obvious, innit, once they have sold you your ticket for £60 (or whatever) then you have a ticket! End of.

| Personally I'm a little worried about the drop off in numbers as it will only continue to go in the same direction.
I think the "Pledgeometer" at Odsal might look a bit daft with 15k at the top of it over the coming weeks.
I know I've already pledged and the Bulls have got my details, but I am a little surprised I've received nothing through the post advertising the deal. I've not had a season ticket for a few years now (even though I attend most home games) and I would have thought that the club would have contacted everyone who has purchased tickets through the club in the last few years to notify them of this offer.
It may be that the club have a good enough marketing / distribution system that realises I have already pledged, however based on other pledgers posts, this doesn't tie in as some have received some gumpf from the club even though they have already pledged too.
Living in Queensbury I thought I may have also received something through the post as there is a reasonable amount of support for the club from the area and also has an amateur club with ties to the Bulls. I do wonder where and when the "leaflet drop" is occurring.
Hopefully the club will hit the Bradford homes with this drop now the initial interest has started to decrease to a lower level.

| I wonder how the pledges themselves are being counted.
For instance, is a single £60 pledge and a family ticket pledge both counted as a single pledge or is it counted on the number of eligible people?

Still... any excuse to watch some RL followed by a decent curry afterwards, eh?

A family pledge counts as two pledges.

Yup. I think it's every adult pledge that is £60 or more. For example a family ticket includes 2 adults and is more than £120, so there is 2 pledges.
If there was a £200 ticket which had 3 adults and a child (completely theoretical), it would be 3 pledges.

| Gives a little weight to the idea that we can only physically manage to process a certain number every day. 229 today, 234 yesterday, similar figures (if I remember correctly) per day last week...

| Would suspect as previous people have said in that they must be doing a batch per day. Cant believe we are on exactly 5000 and awaiting next one!! At least i hope so. This last 5000 may drag on

| In fact, the daily totals are slowing. Where we have had one day's worth of pledges only to process, we have had:
[uLast week[/u
Wed 430
Thu 359
Fri 334
[uThis week[/u
Wed 234
Thu 229
Two possible explanations for this - either the numbers represent accurately what we have received, and the numbers are declining daily...
...or, electronic pledges are processed automatically, and a disproportionate number of people used this method initially. Therefore we are wading through the pledges by other means at around 200 per day (perhaps with a backlog), but the number of automated pledges has dropped off.
It could be either. The latter makes some sense to me: if I knew I wanted to pledge, and all I had to do was type in a few boxes on my PC, there was no need to wait (I didn't). If I had had to get a form, fill it in, find a stamp, walk to the post box etc., I can well imagine that I would have waited until the weather improved, or until I could be bothered, or until...

| I pledged on the Sunday night after the game and still haven't had a response back.
I know they've had problems - I just want to know my pledge has counted. If it hasn't there may be a good 1000 or so that may also have not registered?

| originally posted this on t'other forum yesterday in answer to people questioning rate at which pledges were racking up but its probably worth putting on here too.
Quote theres been a pretty steady rise of between 250-400 every working day the scheme has been in operation. My understanding is that we havent employed extra staff to deal with pledges and they are being dealt with by regular ticket office staff. its been suggested elsewhere, and seems reasonable, that theres probably a upper limit on number of pledges club can process in a day. postal pledges have to manually entered into system, phone pledges probably take a little longer still to process. txt pledges require club to contact pledger to get there details and enter them onto system before pledge counts. Even online pledges will require checking to weed out any potentially mischeivous pledges. we've just come off back off a 3 day weekend to boot where its unlikely club staff were working to take pledges which wont help with total either.
As long as we continue to show a steady rise each day I dont think we'll have too much trouble reaching the 10k and even if we fall a bit short we'll still benefit from substantially reduced season tickets. Club needs to continue to build the anticipation by announcing signings ( which tbf it has done a good job of so far with steadily more exciting players announced over last week and a genuine sense of a new broom sweeping through the club).

| Quote ="Highlander"When I was up at Odsal during the week there were 2 or 3 new staff in the office - obviously just for pledges. I don't know what state the Bulls database is in but I would suspect that every single pledge will have to be crosschecked for both personal and contact details. The (hopefully few) spoof ones will be weeded out. This will take time. I think there is a chance that approx 400 per day is capacity and we are still going through a backlog!'"
I had a similar thought over the weekend. But there were definitely 2 or 3 new faces in the ticket office.

| Apologies for the week away but I've been busy after being dragged to Blackpool for a few days.
Where I saw plenty of Rugby League shirts, Wigan, Leeds, Halifax, Whitehaven, Castleford, Widnes, St Helens.
Anyhow enough of that, I've managed to get three stay aways to pledge for next year who haven't been since the 2007 Wigan play-off game.

| 5,187. Just 187 today, easily the lowest daily total. It was posted half an hour or so earlier than usual - knocking off for the weekend / travel to Wigan, or cleared the backlog?
