Really do feel quite numb about it all. I’ve know for last 3-4 week something like this was coming, just didn’t know where he was going. But was it built on sand ? We've averaged around 4000 fans most weeks with 7500 for the last game and the two cup games with 10000 and 6000 respectively all paying higher prices than all the other clubs in this division.It's fair to say that the squad was too large but there were no superstars in it. The players we had were what you'd excpect a club with our fanbase paying those prices should be able to afford.
So what has happened to all that income ?

We can just about get a team out with those signed up. We need dual reg. can’t see why anyone would sign permanently with us.

Plenty of players will be available, they won't all get deals so we can get amongst the negotiations.

THis is part of our problem. WE end up with 38 player squads and then never play half of them

Who's got the best players that we can borrow via Dual Reg? I'd argue Wigan. Dunno if they've DR with anyone as yet.

Lads we have still got allow us to put a decentish team out. Hopefully we can add a touch of quality and mix it up mid table and spring a few surprises.

I've not seen an announcement from them, but they'd had a good thing going with Swinton the last couple of years, who will also be desperate for players. In fact, Wigan & Swinton often do dual reg exactly how it should be. Their promising youngsters get plenty of game time with the step up from academy level.

The only two Dual Reg deals I've seen announced so far this season was KR/Dewsbury and Cas/York.

Toronto is a good team to Dual Reg with as they will probably add to squad as season goes on,meaning players become available. Also don't have a reserve team.

On the upside, he should be able to afford a much better Christmas present for you.

Im sure once the arrivals are announced everyone will feel better.

It's just incredibly sad that Joe and Elliot no longer had any trust in the club and terminated their contracts.

It is sad I agree, more so when you think how patient the club were with his back injury.Trust was clearly there then...

In one regard I totally agree with you. The club stood by him and paid him whilst most specialists were saying his career was as good as done. I'm guessing that good will was forgotten as soon as a SL club came knocking.

That said, this is their professional career, its how they put food on the table and a roof over their heads. And lets face it... careers are not very long. Maybe he's thought how close he came to losing his livelyhood and this has made taking such opportunities an easier decision. I mean who can really say that they wouldn't move to a bigger (and probably better paid) job if offered the chance. I'd guess most of us.

That was then....this is now....The reality of the current situation is that a few well meaning individuals have got together ( for various reasons ! ) to take over an ailing sports club, weighed down with debt. No matter how generous AC and others might appear in waiving monies owed by the club, the stark reality appears to be that cash is extremely tight.
If the 2 players in question were my sons, I'd have them out of there in a shot, especially if a SL team wanted them. Their careers and financial wellbeing must be their first thoughts, and our plight has nothing to offer in both regards.
After following the ups and downs of the Bulls for over 30 years, my loyalty to the current regime is now absolutely nil. There are too many "agendas" within the setup for my liking, and if our scrambled egg friend is only slightly on the mark, there could be yet more problems around the corner.
