2nd tweet is key bit imo. Its in rfl operational rules that we have to officially inform any players out of contract, who theres a chance we might not offer a contract to, in writing by 1st of may. Until we know which league we're in next year and whether were going to be full time or part time then we aren't in a position to offer contracts for next year. Don't we had any choice but to issue the letter to comply with the rules.

Well if that's true then it instantly blows clean out of the water the mad-sounding conspiracy theories that really, we don't have to bother this year, cos there's some secret deal between owners, RFL and Lord Lucan whereby we'll be safe.

Relocating to Manchester wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing for them. They've done all they can in Salford and still no bugger turns up, so I wouldn't blame them for abandoning that "city" in search of a new audience. Whether it will work or not is up for debate, but I could see the reasoning.

If the idea was to move to another city entirely (which has a club), like moving them to become the "Bradford Red Devils" and replacing the existing club in that city, it wouldn't work. I'm a Bradford Bulls fan and another club moving to the city isn't the same. You'd just lose the Salford fans who wouldn't travel, and you wouldn't gain new fans as that city already has a team that fans are loyal to, even if that team was to disappear. I use that as an example, not to suggest that is the actual plan. Relocation can only work if it's to a city that doesn't already have a team.

If we had Salfords squad in Superleague turning out their performances 10k+ crowds would be easily achievable.

Million percent bang on the money is that. I find it ludicrous it has even been spoke about, look at the messes of gateshead/hull sheff/hudds we arent franchised american sports teams. Once again for me shows a lack of thought of the fans of the clubs who think of moving, them fans will be completely lost to the game

You are of course right regarding loss of fans. However from the RFL point of view are they better losing 3k fans from a poorly supported SL club and moving them to a venue that have a history of good support on the back of success, or slowly let a large potential fanbase dwindle away because a club has a lack of financial backing. There is a lot of talk in athletics at the moment of 'the greater good', this may be a case in point within our sport.

I remember shortly before Cha-Lo were announced there was a piece in Danny Lockwood’s column in League Weekly where he said he’s spoken to Chalmers who’d said it would take years to turn Bradford around and going part time was highly likely.

Since they took over we’ve had rumours of Koukash being seen regularly up at Odsal and Chalmers saying to people off the record that he expects us in SL within 2 years. The former Salford Operations Manager Russ McFarlane is now fully ensconced at Odsal and seems a decent chap.

So what’s going on?

Up until Easter week we’ve done very well. Since then we’ve gone backwards. The rumour mill has gone into overdrive. It’s funny how adversity and a communication vacuum can spawn all kinds of rumour, e.g. going dual reg with Widnes, going part time etc. Meanwhile the visas still haven’t arrived, Chisholm’s signing has been held up, our best loan players have all been recalled and our kids are getting battered. Nothing positive has come out.

It could well be that this season doesn’t matter as we’re staying up regardless or it could be the opposite because we’re planning a part time future. If it looks like we’ve given up then attendances will fall. That’s harmful to the owners whatever their plan is. We’ll see how serious they are by the efforts put into strengthening the team in the next few weeks. Time’s running out.

It seems that there are a lot of scaremongers amongst the Bulls support base, who are believing everything they hear and getting swept away with it.

The letters the players recieve are the same letters that go out to all players at all clubs this week to state whether you will be keeping them or not.

Could very well be aimed at Hull KR if they don't go up.

I listened. Think he needs to realise that there isn't a formal supporters group that can approach him. Facebook groups are informal and anyone can join. He needs to do the inviting not wait for an invitation from fans.

It'd be better if he and Chalmers and someone from the coaching staff decided to hold something. If nothing else they'd make a few quid in the bar because it'd be packed.
