Notice none of the 3 players we have sponsored have squad numbers. You would hope they would still be listed in the squad in the programme, so that RAB still gets the exposure that sponsoring them brings.

May not be the primary reason we did it, but it's still something.

sounds like potter is keeping the numbers back as a target for the players to aim towards in training. They achieve a certain standard that he's set and they get rewarded with a 1st team number. gives them an added incentive to get their heads down in training, given that due to numbers in 1st team squad anyway they are unlikely to feature this year unless we suffer badly with injuries.

I would hope Finigan and Southernwood at least would get a few games under their belts.

I'd hope southernwood at least would. maybe a few too many ahead of finigan for him to feature (and didnt he only go full time at backend of last season?).

Yeah, you're right about Finigan but he looks promising. Maybe he'll get a go if we get an easy cup tie.

In T&A Connor said Tom Burgess would be sixth in line for prop (I presume Lynch, Scrutes, Hargreaves, Koppy, Crossley, Burgess) so i'd also expect him to get 1 or 2 sub appearances. Although in the big games Langley would probably be used there.

Now that Bateman has been named in the 19-man squad, that means he must have been registered with a squad number. Would be nice to see him included on the website now, with the sponsors mentioned at the bottom and a link to this site, as with other players.

Burgess & Bateman have both PLAYED in the first team now and they still aren't listed, so I'd say not.
