Not how I heard it - be interesting to know where you got your info from, I got told all he wanted was a contract extension for security for him at a club, he did NOT want to leave Bradford but FC said he had to prove himself and earn it and told him he could look elsewhere

How many administrations would you expect him to go through with your club - "like a spoilt child he walked out" if that was really the case the guy would have gone a long time ago when clubs with a chance of winning some silverware still has some cash to splash - you know the ones who are run well and sort out their playing roster before preseason -rather than waiting until the new season has already started!
The players are blokes with bills to pay and mouths to feed not fans! I'd say sammut has been more loyal to your club than he had to be- but given the reaction on here it seems he was wasting his time!

Well he joined our club from one that went into administration. And he has left it to join one that has been in a CVA, administration and threatened further administration. And he has left a club that had its playing roster sorted out pre-season for one which clearly did not. He's certainly a glutton for punishment, isn't he?

I don't think most posters are blaming Sammut (most have no position to as they don't know whats gone on).

But i think most posters are just gutted he's gone and even more gutted we've sold him to a relegation rival.

Bradford clearly didn't have their playing roster sorted preseason as they were taking on contracts they actually couldn't afford! Unlike wakefield who sold players to pay creditors rather than end up in the mess you now find yourself in. Two days before your first game is not the time for upsets in the camp and I fear the down on your club will be difficult to shake off whilst other clubs are finding themselves with positives going into the season.

He has probably seen with Carvell leaving that your playing roster is not sorted. Maybe he expects others to leave too.
He does seem attracted to clubs with finance issues, although hopefully ours are now sorted. However, the proof will be in the pudding. We thought we were sorted previously so I will give it some time before I can say for definite that we won't get dragged back into another mess.
