If he does well there - and you have to assume he will - IMO he'd be an idiot not to stay out there permanently.

TBH at this moment in time, if Sam wants to play in Aus let him go with our blessings, earlier the better, players are just commodities it's the clubs sucess and survival that is paramount. If we stand in his way then things I think will get ugly between Sam, the club and the fans.

I must admit for 200k we maybe should consider letting him go if we can use the money to address our weak area's. With that sort of cash surely we could lure someone like brough/myler/pryce to the club. But letting Sam go and banking the cash would quite rightly infuriate supporters.

We might aswell take the 200k for him now, rather than lose him at the end of the season for nothing, because he has a clause in his contract that he can leave for free at the end of 2010 even though he is contracted until the end of 2011.

Then we can make a serious bid for Richie Myler or Danny Brough.
