| Think the theory was enough people would have gone even on a Monday night, surely? After a year away from rugby I think they would have got >1000

| We haven't got a physical ticket yet though have we? Obviously this is due to the knotty problem of Odsal coming back into the reckoning, but (seating) tickets can't be issued until it's sorted, so it puts even more pressure on.

How many of those would actually be paying though?. It’s been mentioned we still have a four figure number of season tickets who all have to be allocated a spot out of whatever restricted attendance we’re allowed. So might only be scope for a few hundred actual ticket sales against whic club has to factor in extra costs of opening ground.

The simple answer is we have more seasons ticket holders than would be available to be admitted to watch the game if it was played at Dewsbury.
The club have made the best decision available to them and Newcastle should be congratulated with agreeing to the request to move this fixture for a second time.

Totally agree decision made is best option. Wasn't a good decision to move it to the Monday in the first place though.

There are five super league fixtures being played on Monday night. Are they all stupid too?

In defence of the original decision, that was made before Sky Sports issued their blackout which made it impossible for the club to proceed with the original plan.
Can you imagine the uproar amongst the season ticket holders when they would have found out that admittance to the first game with fans would have to be done via a ballot with nearly half not able to attend or watch it on the stream.
All the other Super League games taking place on Monday are unaffected because each club at home can accommodate their season ticket holders.

| So Mick, are you saying that the new date will be at Odsal where there is more capacity to fit all season ticket holders in?

That's certainly the plan. Just wait for official confirmation though.

We have a home game against York to factor in first before the rearranged Newcastle game. I wonder what the venue us going to be for that game?
Given we can have 50% capacity at Dewsbury if imaging that would allow for a crowd of 2500. Ive not seen any numbers but i cant imagine we have sold that many season tickets. Anyone got an idea of the nubers sold?

This is probably the most important bit
What we do know already is that our ground capacity is likely to be capped at less than 700 and we will have around 150 seats available in the main stand

| I suppose if you're trying to keep a distance between people then it will always be less than half capacity. You need to leave room in front, behind and at the side of each bubble of people.
