Listening to the BCB commentary on it they missed it completely, sometimes those two can make Stevo & Eddie seem less clueless. The Bulls did well to keep their discipline in a niggley match, lessons seem have been learned since the 2nd half of the first game.
Leigh's result won't slow them down in the run in, but both Coach's will expect tight defences and scoring attacks for the run to get the best points difference from now on.

He looked to go in with a swinging arm and when Gaskell said something he leathered him in the face.

My first impression of the Groat incident was he was trying to reef the ball from Clough (?) and Groat got it wrong his arm came flying out and whacked Gaskell in the face who was jogging back into the ruck area. (This came after a kick off and Gaskell was making his way back from the 40m line)

Don't think we see Gaskell for a month or two

Wasn't at the game but just watching the highlights now. The KO is about 08:30 in. I can see why you would have thought that, on first look he does seem to kinda reach in to the tackle. I just watched it ten times in succession wishing for a slo mo option cos I really couldn't tell. And then there's a slo mo repeat that makes it a little clearer. He's going to find himself in a bit of bother I think. It's a really bad angle though.

Jimmy said it was just a bang to the head. Where do you get that from?

To be honest, Gaskell having some time off may not be a bad thing. He's been carrying some clear knocks for a couple of months now. Still tearing teams a apart, but when walking back after a try he's holding his either arm or wrist or should and is in some discomfort. Sunday he was just a passenger and should have been brought off straight away. Hopefully it won't be too long term and we can have him fit and firing for the 8's. That is of course if he is going to be out for a couple of months.

Seemed fine when he was chatting and signing my daughters shirt after the match.

Olbison has sorted out his defence since Jimmy joined the Bulls. A very strong runner and looking like he will fulfil his potential if he keeps improving as he is doing.

Pitts and AOB are the standout performers this season for me as their work is constant throughout the game and if you watch them off the ball they are definitely leaders on the pitch too.

Gaskell has been great however part of me stil thinks he could play with more effort at times,as sometimes he can go missing through games whereas the other two are in the thick of it all the time.

For me, Clough has had a great Season. Always seems to get ball while at top speed and hurtles into tackle with it;plus great offload at Blackpool.

I would be amazed if such a huge piece of news totally escaped all the media, but I am actually relieved and pleased that Gaskell is getting a rest, as I'm with those who have noticed that at times he seems to be visibly carrying various knocks. A fully fit and refreshed Gaskell for the business end is what we need.

I'd been told he had broke his jaw. Not sure about jaw plate. I thought it was odd nothing has been said about this in the media.

To be fair we haven't released injury details in the media a lot for this season.

A wise decision imo, as it only gives the opposition something to aim for.

I'm actually pleased if Gaskell is taking a few games off.

A rest at this stage of the season, given that he has obviously been carrying various knocks, is no bad thing. And we have actually got a fair bit of cover right now with Siekja, Mullaney, Addy and Mendeika all in the squad

It's the price he has to pay for being The Outstanding Star Player in the Championship. Has there actually been a match yet where someone hasn't tried to take his head off. Will be a nice test to see how we cope.

Well, I see that the grub who did him hasn't been up before the beak yet, but when he is, they are bound to make reference to the injury he caused, so will be interesting to see what they say.
