prefer to stick with addy/bateman for doncaster game but maybe an option if gale isnt back for hudds game?

If we [iwere[/i going to use Southernwood - and I'm not personally convinced - then wouldn't it be better to play him this week, and get him used to plays, the set moves, the defensive patterns etc in a relatively easy game, than throw him in cold against the Giants?

Southernwood isn't duel reg. He's on a season long loan.

I like the sound of bull boys team I have herd great reviews about young Mellor and Naughton maybe worth giving Cockerham ago instead of hargreaves aswell

Reading the T/A report about Addy sounds like hes going to get the nod in the cup instead of a young gun

I get the impression that some people on here are showing a little disrespect to the abilities of Doncaster.
I wouldn't risk too many youngsters against a very competant side at CC1 level.

Prefaced with the words "no disrespect" too. Potential banana skin this, and a good cup run is badly needed by this club whilst an early exit could easily take the wind out of our sails.

I don't think anyone is showing disrespect at all to Doncaster.

But they are a side in Championship 1, and we really should be able to beat them with a side containing a smattering of our young prospects. I think most people have suggested two or three at most.

And if we can't give these kids a run out against a side from two divisions lower, then when can we? Are we suggesting that we hold them back and blood them against Warrington or Wigan? No, this is the opportunity to give a few of these lads a chance to see how close to the required standard they are (or are not) and - as has been suggested - we can load the bench with experience in case things go a bit pear shaped!

We'll remind you that most of our attacking threat comes from our right wing...

why is Koppy not in anybodies squad for the game, is it because they are showing disrespect or because he is injured? cannot see anything about him being injured, Sammut and Platt the only ones reported
