Maybe, maybe not. And he should do.
However I don't recall him telling lie after lie after lie during his tenure. I accept he caused some problems that Hood inherited, but the "captain" has not exactly dealt with the situation very well at all now has he?

| Quote ="Ewwenorfolk"there is a point when you can't defend somebody anymore. Think it's reached that point for Hood. Yes we know he doesn't get paid, and he has put time and effort into the club, but he's failed and it's time for a change.'"
Wakefield fans reached the same conclusion about Ted Richardson last January.
Unfortunately from the CLUB's perspective, the only way a change of management can come about in the current situation is through the BUSINESS entering Administration.
Yes, there's still time for a benefactor to come forward before the deadline but you need to ask yourselves how good their business acumen really is if they would rather cover all the current liabilities when they could give the CLUB a clean slate if Administrators were appointed.
As I've said on other posts, I don't like seeing the Bulls in this situation but the reality is that there is only one way to give the CLUB the sound footing it needs to have a strong future. As the saying goes "Short term pain for long term gain".

It is a situation that should be forced. The RL should not allow people like Hood to run a club. He is bringing the game into disrepute.
Sadly though, the likely outcome will be that we hold a fans forum, people will go along to have their say and come back fooled by another Churchillian speech by Medley and all will be well.

I wonder if it's telling that Ryan has been the one in the media. Hood has been conspicous by his absence. Could anything be read into that?

I asked that question yesterday.
Hood either doesn't want to be in the firing line or there may be changes happening.

Not the majority shareholder anymore - he is the chap Adey referred to in his post on page 1 as having been bought out by Hood.

dont think thats actually correct. if Hood had bought Caisleys shares then he'd hold 30+%. He only has 22%. Think Hood actually bought Colin Tordoffs share holding though im not 100% sure.

I might have remembered it wrong and if so apologies, but pretty sure that Hood now owns about 16,500 of about 17,000 (give or take, can't remember the exact numbers).
I think there are only about half a dozen shareholders in total now.

there are approx 1000 shareholders. Some only have 2 or 3 shares, some have a significant number but percentage wise caisley is 27%,hood 22%. Think those two are the biggest by some margin. thats why its so difficult attracting anyone to buy the club. they have to deal with several of larger shareholders to get a majority shareholding.

Ah, what I'd been given wasn't directly from Co's House, it was through an Equifax equivalent and that's not taken into account the bulk shareholders list which wasn't with the filed annual return Should've checked before putting that up, what a dork!

| It is interesting that both Hood and Caisley will stand to lose a significant amount if the club goes into administration.
I'm not sure where Hood has made his millions but Mr Caisley will have a bob or 2 to spend.
I'm sure between them, they could raise 50-100k.
If we don't make the total, they stand to lose everything currently invested.

| Just back from the Bullbuilder board meeting, which was probably marginally more important than attending to some of the garbage earlier on this thread.
Hood bought most of Colin Tordoff's shares, and now holds around 20%. Caisley is still the largest shareholder with over 27% IIRC, and is the most powerful shareholder since his vote can block a Special Resolution.
Google NAK Corporate World for Peter Hood's business.

| Thanks Adey.
Sums up everything well, constructively and reasonably. I think BullBuilder are taking the right course of action.
Clearly, the paramount is the club surviving, which BB recognise.

Not sure if this is aimed partly at me, but I would hope you realise from my history on this board that I'm not just out to blame and insult Mr Hood nor is it my main priority to get him out. I do believe that it is at least time for Peter to take a long look in the mirror and ask himself if he has anything to offer as chairman anymore.

Perhaps you should look in the mirror jumping in on Pystic Eddy's own personal vendetta!
One thing to remember, he won't be pledging just sledging!

I'm not trying to contribute to any personal vendetta.
Sorry if it's come across that way, just feel this time (even if he goes about it the wrong way) Eddie has a point.
ATEOTD were all shocked, sad and angry and who can we blame? We've seen Potter take the blame for the team at the forums as its his job to manage them. It's peter hoods job to manage the bulls as a company, admittedly all the facts aren't out but it doesn't look like he's done a great job atm.

| Like a lot of others you have not looked or listened with regards to the Bulls fiscal plight, it has been ongoing since Caisley overspending big time, dropped the Club right in it with Harrisgate, caused the Club to be done for SC breaches after he stepped down.
Peter Hood has done a hell of a lot work behind the scenes since he took over to keep the Club going, if he hadn't we would have been looking at this scenario 5 years ago,
Because of the economic downturn the Bulls coped a two pronged fiscal attack, starting with the HMRC wanting their monies a lot sooner than later (This because of the fiscal pressure the Treasury is under mainly thanks to the Blair/Brown years of ruinous Government) the Bank being asked to extend the overdraught to cover this in the short term said no( because of no security now the lease had been transferred to the RFL but that isn't the full story)
The main thing is if you want the Club to continue you have to put up the cash

Throwing about accusations now. I have looked and listened, and acknowledged the views of others (Adeybull being one).

I know. Where have I been defending CC? I have said I'd have more confidence in him than Hood, but that's only been after recent events.
Quote ="Blotto"Peter Hood has done a hell of a lot work behind the scenes since he took over to keep the Club going,'"
I know. I've defended him in the past. I'm still acknowledging on this thread and others that he has put time and effort into the club. But the fact he's put time and effort into it doesn't prove he's the best man for the job nor does it give him unlimited time at the top.
Quote ="Blotto" if he hadn't we would have been looking at this scenario 5 years ago, '"
If you're going to come on here ripping me apart when all i've tried to do is put my own money and effort into the club the past 2 days then at least post facts not assumptions.

I know. Can't see the relevance to this post. We've been hard done to. It's not all Peter Hood's fault.
Quote ="Blotto"The main thing is if you want the Club to continue you have to put up the cash'"
Have you not read any of my other posts? All i've been trying to do is get others to put their hard earned into the club. I've given up my holiday fund, given more than I can probably afford to the cause. I'm a student and there are plenty of other things I could do with both my time and money but both are going into the pledge atm.
I have put up the cash, sounds like you have too. Now maybe instead of having a go at me, try encourage others who haven't already pledged, or get involved in some fundraising. Not saying you haven't already, as I don't like coming on here making assumptions about people who in a way are very similar to me. We all love the Bulls.
