| As FA said, our abysmal completion rate early on took too much gas out of the team despite being a man up. It did make me wonder about the fitness of certain players. In the second half our defence went to pieces and we made far too much work for ourtselves by allowing endless offloads. We seemed to lose our way when we brought Hargreaves, Kopczak and Diskin back on. The energy levels seemed to drop for some reason, very odd.
Our lin between backs and forwards unfortunately didn't click again, it was too slow, predictable and at times just never happened. We seem to be unable to play an open style and can only get close to matching good teams when there's bad weather meaning a forward battle down the middle.
That said, Catalans played some great rugby. They look a superbly fit and well drilled side. The best I've seen at Odsal this year. If they could sort out their discipline they'd be serious contenders. I was really impressed by the way they drove the ball in and dominated the collision too, they looked really enthusiastic. In contrast our enthusiasm seemed to ebb away in the second half and we looked like we didn't really believe in ourselves.
No argument that Catalans were worthy winners, they were clearly the better side. We look short of class at halfback and across the backline. Menzies was our best player last year and a class above all else, so we let him go. What a balls up that was.

Blimey, don't be so disheartened ! The Bulls should have taken the points at Perpignan,it was only a missed penalty attempt almost in front of he posts by Ah Van that let you down.Catalans are a decent side with some good players plus a dynamic coach so it's no disgrace being beaten by a better team on the day.Stick with your side, they will be back.....look at where the Catalans were last season.........

| You know something is wrong when you're 6 points up, a man up, on a beautiful summer afternoon and you STILL resort to 5 drives and a kick, shipping in 4 tries in the process.
It's a wonder I've any hair left after watching this side over the past few seasons, I've torn that much of it out.

I dare say I won't be missed but if enough people feel the same the club will miss our money. Even at this season's prices it feels like we've been ripped off given the promises that were made.

Even though the results haven't always gone our way, I'm not sure you can call 13 games (14 if you include the CC) for £60 a rip-off. It's still a game of rugby at the end of the day. If you can't sit back and enjoy it for what it is, regardless of the result, then perhaps you are watching the wrong sport.

Don't think there's any ripping off going on. No one on the board is there to make money. They just want the best for the club but are unable to deliver it. I doubt they can try any harder than they are doing now.
This presumably happened in the 1950s and 60s with the result that the Bradford public withdrew their support and the club folded. I don't know if this is what you hope happens this time.

| I agree.
Despite whatever I might have said on here, usually in the heat of the moment an hour after a game, I still think that Season Ticket was the best £99 I spent this year. I've already seen ten games for that - even though I've been left wondering why I bother at times
Still, it will be interesting to see how the whole cheap season ticket thing plays out for 2012. I'll certainly be willing to pay £99 or a bit more for the stand, I'm not sure how many other will.... or at least not without 'signings to whet the appetite', by which I mean 'actual' not 'promised'

| Even considering the disappointments of this season £60 or £99 is a huge bargain and I'd question the sanity of any proper Bulls fan who thinks otherwise.

| It will be very intriguing to see what happens next season regarding season tickets. I am aware of many people who are not attending games despite being members. They are looking at their purchase a sunk coast and do not consider turning up to Odsal being a worthwhile use of their time due to the perceived lack of entertainment/quality, call it what you will.
The remainder of the 2011 season is vital regardless of whether the Bulls make the top 8 as some amount of feel good factor has to return. This Winter we had the 'start of a new era' to look forward to and that particular hook can not be used in this close season to get fans into the ground as many feel let down by some of the performances this term. Meet the new boss/Same as the old boss, so to speak.
Unless the standard of recruits are of a much higher standard than have been coming through the door in recent times it will be difficult to generate much buzz about next year. It is the 'casual' fan who may have attended during the glory years and has been enticed back by the pledge deal that the club has to get back next season. Myself and most of the Bulls supporters on this board will continue to turn up come what may, with the other 5-6,000 hardcore, that's not the real issue in terms of growth though. It's a quandary for those running the show to say the least.

| For me it's not just the quality of any new signings but what the Team do on the Field. It's no good signing a handful of world class players (not that we could) if the rest of the Team drag them down with woefully dire performances. The Marketing Team have their work cut out because the Playing Staff just aren't delivering the goods. I will be on holiday for the next home game and to be honest it won't bother me in the slightest, how many others feel that way? I agree that the ticket price is a bargain and because of that people won't mind staying away when the barbeque bekons! Bit of a catch 22! The ball so to speak is with the Playning Staff to figure out what is missing and put it right. We don't need to finish in the top 8 but we do need to finish with some spirit and pride.......

| Let's not start moaning at one person leaving like many others will and concentrate in why this side is under performing. And imagine next year will be same rubbish. As for enjoying it for what it is. It is easier to just expect the side to be bloody awful and they rarely disappoint.

| Agreed that it's what happens on the field which is important and the prospect of signing quality players seems unrealistic. However I was talking about how as an organisation any way could be found to give the fan base a lift going into the 2012 season. Not very likely I know and that's the problem!
Generally players are who they are, those signed from average teams with average careers will perform as you expect them too in a Bulls jersey as well. I have been disappointed with the coaching and style/standard of play too but maybe we all got carried away a little leading up to this season. A play off spot seemed realistic but perhaps we are not as good as some thought we were or could be given time under a decent coach.

My gripe with the club is they seem to take the fans for fool's make statements regarding signings also spin the myth about our junior set up been awesome. It's becoming very tiresome, it will be interesting to see what they try and use to deflect attention with this year.

We don't get perpetual silence. They have to sell their product as best they can and that has to mean highlighting the positives, even if those turn out to be not up to snuff. I don't see what you expect them to do, say "Come watch Bradford, we're not very good but at least we told you beforehand"?

| Might be something in that. Think part of the problem is Bulls v1.0 were sold as "unstoppabull" etc. This lot clearly aren't yet there has no move by the club to sell the team as underdogs, battlers, whatever.
Maybe a bit more creativity in that area is needed. Why should people go see Bradford these days. My main answers would be
1. They are a historic institution nearing 150 years old (club won't have this for some reason even though 1964 is a bigger cut off point than 1907)
2. It would be a crying shame to let the efforts of Trevor Foster, Joe Phillips etc over the years go to waste by letting the club die.
3. The majority of Bulls games are worth watching, even if they aren't always won, even yesterday. And every now again you get a belter (Saints away 09, Wigan home 10).
I know a lot of people would look at those three reasons and say they're not enough. But others might go for it if there was a concerted effort to put these three strands across.

I'd prefer not to be told where making signings to whet the appetite then see players like Sibbitt, Walker, Raynor walk through the gates.

| I think it's time for actions to speak louder than words! We've heard all the reasonings and excuses most of us can put up with, it all amounts to nothing. We want pride in the shirt, entertaining Rugby and even win a couple of games at Home!I don't want to hear about what we are doing on the Training Field, I want to see it on Game Day. Not much to ask is it?
