At the very least, could we just turn the speakers down a little?'"
I think this is the point. I actually like the idea of getting bands on, and accept that they need to do different ones to cater to all tastes (and again I point out that I thought the band at the Wigan game were very good). However on Sunday it was just too loud. That meant that those people who weren't bothered about the girl group "performing", couldn't have a conversation on the terraces (and I assume in the stand too), as you couldn't hear the person you were talking to (or at least I certainly struggled with that).
I'd like to see us keep the bands, but just not quite THAT loud, so that people who aren't bothered about the band can at least talk to each other. It's fine if you're enjoying the band, but if it stays that loud, all it will encourage me to do is check out who the pre-match is beforehand, and if it looks like something I won't enjoy, I won't get there until late in the day (which will mean at least one less pint will be sold). If others think that, it can affect your bar (and food) takings. Keeping it at a reasonable level, while still loud enough to enjoy it if you are watching them, would mean everybody's happy.
