I think such assistants may defeat the primary objectives that we may aspire to with Menzies (or similar) at the helm.

Indeed. In fact, his tenure at Leeds was remarkably similar to that of the incumbent at Bradford, so those wanting a like for like replacement for 'Macca' should look no further.

I find it quite interesting that Jason Robinson has left (or is soon about to leave) his role of head coach at Sale Sharks. He certainly knows the game, and knows how to win.

He's left instead of being pushed, Sale just avoiding relegation. He's going to spend time on his farm, never really wanting to get into coaching. I could have been England coach but I fancied a career in construction.

I'd think why have we signed a completely unproven coach, when surely Lowes or Mcdermott would be a bit better, or even Menzies.

The only thing Lowes proved while he was in charge at Wire is that he's a crap coach.

It's looking more and more likely that it's going to be Brian Mac. I'm still not sure how I feel about this yet, but I'm leaning more towards disappointment than elation.

My own views on the bookies list for what its worth. Would be interesting to know how different the Bulls list is, and who any other names are.

Kearney, Potter, McDermott, Noble, Millward, Anderson in that order with Menzies as assistant.



I'd bet on the fact that there'll be plenty of names on the Bulls shortlist who haven't been given odds.

Macca - Well he's been a coach, but im not sure how proven he is.
