| He is a good player, and we all remember some tremendous displays from Stuart. I hope all his injury problems can now be put aside, and in form he would be a tremendous asset to the side.

| Reardon for me was one of the biggest disappointments we signed at Warrington. He was another Daryl Cardiss, ie a good player whose abilities began to wane quite early in his career due to injury, who we signed just at the time he was going on a downward turn.
He had a handful of good games for Warrington and his tackle bust stats were good, but overall he made little impact when he was fit and was injured a lot. A shame because he had looked like a really good prospect around 2002-04, but considering he was supposedly a top earner and Cullen said he was the best kick returner in the league, he didn't live up to his billing.

| He went to Wire for bigger money than he was offered at the Bulls. £75k a year IIRC. I expect he'll be on a fraction of that now.
I see him primarily as a winger who can cover fullback. He was never good enough at centre. At fullback he was ok but rumour had it that gd was too quiet at the back and the team needed a FB who could impose himself and didn't mind shouting at senior players to cover the gaps.
He's another body on board at least, let's face it we have the thinnest squad since super league began (no Solomona gags please).

| A useful addition to the squad I think.
While it doesn't set the world of rugby league on fire, it may prove to be a very shrewd signing and as has already been stated, the length of deal puts the ball very much in Stuarts court. Let's hope he goes all out to prove himself.

| I reckon Stuart will either impress, and end up finishing his career at the club, or be in the National Leagues next year. He always seemed a bit of an all or nothing player to me, when he was good he was awesome, but when he was bad he was terrible!

| Good signing imo, as long as it isn't the only back that we were told in the T&A. He'll be relatively cheap and hopefully he's through his injury trouble.

How was Reardon a failure? Much as I personally though he was probably a bit overrated by Wire, the fact is he left when his contract was up because he got a better offer. There may be a few ways to represent that but `failure` certainly isn`t one of them.

Sorry BP actually I think he might be ok for us just been a bit down this morning. It must be the onset of winter or summat being of Mediterranean origin it takes some getting used to let me tell you
Had my hopes up that we would be signing some antipodean superstar. Still could sign a forward version though

Well he's already not playing very well. Just wait for him to get a long injury lay-off and his value depreciates further and Hood will be circling

| I was told from an extremely reliable source that the reason Reardon failed the medical at Hull was much less to do with a physical injury and much more to do with some kind of physiological chemical imbalance which showed up on routine blood tests. Clearly, that has been sorted now. Well, at least it's to be hoped so.

| Hey, we failed to sign Bird, so perhaps they thought someone with a similar "record" (I use the term in a very loose sense) would be appropriate.
If we ignore the off-the-field incident(s), I have to agree this is a win-win signing. If we get the Reardon of 2003 back, we've got a superb player who improves our backline. If we get an injured or can't really cut it Reardon, we get rid when the year is up.
The only way we may lose out is if he does really well and then someone else comes in and offers him a silly wage, just like last time. But hey, a year of good performances is better than nothing.

| Good luck to him. LT injury and the off field incident cut short his Warrington career.
When he first came over he was a real class act but it was dowbhill from there. To be fair he was playing in a poor side and Im thinking his personal life may have been weighing on him.
A fresh start for him. Brought back from the RL wilderness and back where it all started out for. He must be glad of the opportunity to reignite his career and Im sure he will be up for it. Win win signing IMO.
He can also go and help serve tea with his mate in that cafe in Listerhills.

| decent enough signing imo. gives us some options and wont be on much money with a lot of motivation to get a longer contract.
hopefully this is in addition to the 1 forward/1 back mentioned by macca last week. We still have a quota spot available and presumably plenty of cap space available. A decent and an impact prop with the promotion of a few academy lads and we're looking in decent shape imo.
good to see the usual muppets on the T&A forum are having a field day with their doom and gloom

However, we're still lacking some proper quality in the backs and are lacking a game breaker or two. We've rather too many steady-eddies or below average performers to really worry the top 8 on a consistent basis.'"
I hope that was deliberate - if it was it's the subtlest joke I've seen in a long while.
