Well they have signed the Boas brothers (both PNG internationals) and James Harrison from Batley seem to be certainly still filling the squad with good players

On Pickersgill will be sad if he does go. He has had a cracking breakthrough year, I do think we looked at our most fluent and comfortable when he was in the halves with Keyes against York and Keighley. Thats not jumping on the Chisholm bashing or anything, but I dont think many will disagree they were our two best performances near enough

Fev are indeed offloading a lot of players, though a lot of those are players on fairly hefty contracts by Championship standards...it doesn't mean we aren't in a position to sign players though, as for instance with a couple of decent Batley players (James Harrison was announced last week and was the target of at least one other top 4 Championship club).

That said, it does sound strange if he's under contract in 2019, though League Express aren't often far out and they have predicted most of our signings so far.

Surely they are reducing wage bill? They still need a squad. Get rid of 3 on say £10kpa bring in 4 on £5k pa?

It'd be a shame if Pickersgill went to Fev as he's done well this year but for me he lacks a yard of pace and isn't really that convincing defensively. If McNally is fit then Pickers doesn't get in the side, it's McNally's lack of fitness that has opened the door for him.

Pickersgill is versatile, durable and has his best years ahead of him. I'd like to keep him but if he gets a better contract at Fev then I wouldn't stand in his way.

I would just assume his agent is after a contract upgrade for him with us, in light of the game-time he has had this season & his performances. Either a switch to F/T (if he is P/T) or a wage increase. Contacting other clubs is a time-honoured tactic in contract negotiations.

Ethan Ryan has had a contract upgrade apparently. Remains part time. I expect BK's agent is doing exactly as you say Highlander but he remains under contract.

I can see other such as Keyes and Minchella wanting upgrades too if others get them.

Ethan Ryan was doing his teacher training a year or two ago. So I would assume he's a teacher.

BP had the potential to be a very good player in a league higher than League 1. It's really important that we keep him as long as we can.

I'm pretty sure Ethan is FT. He's in the tier 1 sponsorship bracket which I understand is for the full time players only.

Ethan tweeted about going back to Uni a couple of weeks ago. He's not fulltime.

There are loads of RL players that are on university courses at same time as playing. Doesn't mean they are not full time though... are you absolutely sure?

I'm a bit mystified about Pickersnicker. I mean no disrespect to Fev but what's he gaining going there? I'd have thought a restructured Fev and a newly promoted Bulls would both be scratching around the middle or on the edges of the playoffs.
