I've always had a lot of time for Wigan fans. Over the SL era, invariably magnanimous in victory and gracious in defeat when we played them. I even used to be a mod on an independent Wigan board once - came across some real nice decent knowledgeable folk.

Ignoring the few vocal idiots, obviously - every one has them - and a fifth column, as we sure have.

As a Saints fan, just here to say well Done Bradford, it was a well deserved win. To have the spirit to come back from 26-10 down is an excellent effortand shows that your boys still have the fight and comittment left. Alls you need to do now is kick on from this.

Maybe the posts from you and the other Saints on this thread will show people that many (most, probably) Saints fans are pretty decent, and more representative than the vocal few idiots we see too much of?

btw, that twelve minute spell when you ran all those tries in was one of the most impressive passages of play I have seen for a long time. You lot must surely be nailed on for the trophy, regardless of slipping up tonight.

Actually, that's bollox. You'll have a hard time finding many Saints fans, if any, blaming the ref for the outcome of last night. Last night was a mixture of Bradford playing well and us not playing as well as Bradford. Hence, Bradford were the better team, played some cracking rugby, and beat us - deservedly.

Walking out of the ground last night, I had many Saints fans patting me on the shoulder, with nothing but well done, you out played us and that kind of talk. Not one Saints fan had anything bad to say about both sides.

Congratulations on a well deserved win. On the night you were by far the better team you kept your composure even after falling well behind on the scoreboard. Let's hope you can kick on from here.

No complaints from the vast majority of Saints fans on your win, and from a personal point of view it's good to see that one of the teams who have really been one of the prime movers in SL since it started aren't too far from where they should be.

I haven't noticed many Leeds fans praising us, but if they are, I'm sure it's because we took the spoils from the Saints.......

Why? It's my experience that there are two kinds of fans: those who can't see past their own clubs and to them it's all a bit of a religion and the rest of us who can appreciate when the opposition has played well and skillfully and deserves a win, even though it's disappointing to lose. I think it's the second type of fan who is on here recognising that Bradford was the better team and deserved the win, and I think it is good to let them know that that is what we think. It's just part of appreciating the sport as a whole rather than just our own club.
