| BUT - the actual issue is..
This whole thread WAS avoidable. This started with a tweet from an employee of one of the clubs sponsors. The account has now gone. From there it raced out of control like these things do.
However, if the current managers/owners of the club actually sat down and thought about handling and communicating (a) their actions - ie setting up some more companies at companies house and (b) how that action may be interpreted in the public domain and (c) the best way of communicating these things to the remaining customers they have.
Had this been done at the outset - there would have been no rumours in the first place - at least not about this subject (again!).
The silence from the Bulls at this time is deafening and disappointing.
Season ticket sales? Well it won't help will it?

Being a Bulls fan is a lot like owning a cat. You like it, and you spend money on it, but it does whatever the fook it likes, when it likes and never says a word; then it comes and rubs itself around your legs and purrs, so you feed it again with your hard-earned.

At least with a cat you can take it to the vet to get it sorted.
With no club announcement hard to call this but if the comment about the restructuring being necessary before new investment comes in then perhaps new sources of money want to be sure their cash gets spent on the team rather than clearing the OK debt ?

| My views would relate to ANY RL club.
The main point is that a club cannot walk away from its debts and expect to carry on as if nothing had happened.
If the new owners want to set up a new company and transfer the club to it, that's fine so long as:
1. The debts of OK Bulls Ltd transfer to the new company as well and
2. The RFL oks it
That way, Bradford can pay the £900,000 back to Mr K out of its SKY money over a reasonable time period.
If, on the other hand, the new owners are going through these shenanigans as a way of attempting to avoid paying back the £900k by liquidating an insolvent OK Bulls Ltd, it should mean they start again from scratch in Championship 1.

Lets be fair to the club though. It may be that something is in the works to move everything to this new company for perfectly legitamte reasons, which is fine, and that once everything was arranged, an announcement would be made explaining the situation (though based on recent times...yeah).
However somebody from one of the clubs sponsors (not even the Club ) decides to run thier mouth on social media about something they've heard and all of a sudden everybody knows and everybody speculates. All of a sudden, well, we've all seen the rumours that have come out in the whole saga.
What we need is for people who have seen some snippet of information, with no context, to stop running off with it and starting (inadvertantly or not) some rumour that puts everything in doubt again and puts the Club in a bad light for something that they may have been going to tell us about anyway. It's doing nothing but harm and the speculation that it starts is only making things worse. I know people are a bit, dubious, of the new ownership following on from everything that's happened, but i just wish all this rumour mongering and everything would stop, and people would just let the new guys get the hell on with what they're doing.
End rant. I'll stop now.

| It all just smacks of mis-management & appears amateurish.
IF the new owners had wanted to set up some new companies in the process of some sort of re-structuring, they should have been well aware that setting up new companies with a registered office at Odsal/Bulls in the name would be in the public domain and create speculation failing some sort of announcement.
With more nouse, they'd have set up the companies with some nondescript names using say their solicitor's address as the registered office temporarily and then changed them in due course to coincide with a public announcement.

Their names would be on the Incorporation documents wherever the office is so they have more nous than you.
Why would they need to disguise their intentions? that would be duplicitous, though evidently that is exactly how you would have done it..
My belief is that the structure and financing plans that were presented to the RFL and agreed by them is now being put into place.

That would be the most likely, and least controversial thing though. Why should Wooden Head go with that, when he can darkly bridle against imagined evil deeds and machiavellian plots? I say leave him to it. At least until the saliva gums up his keyboard.

| So, if I understand this thread, new companies based at Odsal and seemingly connected to the Bulls have been set up. The whys and wherefores behind it aren't known to anyone on here so the usual mob slither out from under their rocks to tell us all how bad they imagine things are at the Bulls regardless of the lack of any real facts or knowledge but it must be bad as the Bulls owners haven't contacted them personally to explain what the dickens they're up to

| Could the new companies not simply be an investment vehicle for the new owners to put their cash into the bulls?
One thing I am really struggling to understand here is why the bulls should give any money back to OK full stop. If I buy all the shares in a local business and that businesses share price drops then the loss is on my hands. If I put money into that company that would be an investment to turn the company around as the sole shareholder not a loan. If it failed and I decided to cut my losses and sell the company I would get market value for it and wouldn't later come back and day oh by the way see that £900k I put in to try put the company right can I have it back please.

| I suppose the loan could have been converted into shares, but that would have undoubtedly meant Omar was still the biggest shareholder - the position he wanted to leave. To the best of my knowledge the money was left as a loan and loans - unlike shares- come with an obligation to repay.

| I reckon not, I don't really understand where Omar has managed to pull £900k from in the first place his businesses don't strike me as the type of companies which turn over enough to fund this. I don't buy the mortgaging of properties either as no businessman in their right mind would borrow against personal assets to fund a club he knew (which he must have at the point he went in the t&a) he would be pulling out of. Especially when you consider the risk implications of property vs a sports club.

Well that's obviously a lie. I don't see how the Bulls BOD can claim to know more about what's going on at the club than those fans from other clubs who post on here about how bad it is at Bradford

| Maybe, just maybe the new owners have found a right pile of poo and are looking to take things forward properly and run the new company professionally - At last!
Like I said some short term pain for long term gain, the Bulls haven't been run properly for years it's to be applauded and welcomed.

Well, that's settled then. He couldn't possibly have raised it, if you don't "buy" it, so that means the 900K didn't materialize, we were unable to pay any wages bill or taxes since then, we presumably went bust and wound the place up. The rest of us missed all this, but I'm sure you're right, so well done you for spotting it.
How long do you think they can keep this pretence up, of still existing? Personally I hope nobody else finds out at least until the end of next season.

| If we had cash so freely available where are the replacement for Bateman & L'Estrange?
Do you honestly think OK had £900k that he could sink into the bulls?

That must have been the greatest illusion since that guy on the grassy knoll, unbelievably, got away with shooting JFK ...just imagine, to [ipretend[/i to put £900k into the club and do it [iso well[/i that the new owners, who were both in admin positions at the time, are actually stating that they intend to [ipay him back[/i. Clearly, OK is either a hypnotist or a magician. Maybe he runs a 'find the lady' stall in his spare time?
For what it's worth, Heath prevaricated for a while about taking up the option for another year and it was always intended that his successor would come from the juniors and we have a few new second row/centres coming for next year - so who says Bateman hasn't been replaced?

Fair enough on the players the squad looks strong for next season.
The only article I can find where a member if the board stating that Omar will be paid back was in an interview with Ryan Whitcut. This is a guy who was employed by OK and was part of the old regime so maybe felt some loyalty towards Omar. I can't see anything from the current board stating he will be paid back.
