If you can't, it's John Bateman signing for Bradford, not Hull or any other bolony you decided to make up.

Onwards and upwards - all through the crisis the threat of losing a clutch of our rising home grown talent was one of the main talking points on the board. So credit to the club and the player for putting another piece of the foundations for the future in place.
I stil think next season could be tough - but if we can start to assemble a core of young players dedicated to the team then were are certainly heading in the right direction.

Everyone heard the rumors regarding Bateman being targeted by the Wolves, Stevie Ward was also targeted by both the Wolves and Hull FC but also stayed loyal to the Rhino's

The new format may hep with the cherry picking a little as Players will not be able to be hoarded too long and will get fed up just playing championship.

As for mentioning Olbison and not mentioning O'Brien maybe it is just a case of a player who broke through last year and worked really hard as opposed to a player who is still on fringes -so maybe it is early to talk him up and suggest building a team around a player who has not played many games?

It's probably fair to assume that Bateman has turned his back on some offers that would give him a much greater chance of silverware. He's committed himself to the club for the next 3 years but if we want to see his best years of RL we need the people of Bradford to get behind the club. Perhaps preaching to the converted on here but he won't wait around forever to see this club back on it's feet.

Really pleasing news though and I look forward to seeing him develop alongside the likes of Whitehead over the next few years.

I was speaking to sinfield last night at a swingers party, i couldnt quite make out what he was saying with a leather strap between his teeth and with love balls in, but he said that he was on 25k a year plus loyalty bonuses of 100k backhanders.

Just because hull offered him a vast amount, does it mean that a local homegrown lad who grew up watching and loves playing for the bulls has to sign on for more money.

He could be on half that plus add ons, who knows.
