I expect Orford will kick for us, he's a better kicker than Sykes IMO.

It was worth it for Wigan and Trent Barrett. May not have won them the title but he made a massive difference to their side.

He'll be our top earner as stated before, but I expect the figures quoted are slightly inflated and 'number plucking'. But to get quality you have to pay a decent wedge, let's just hope this one is more successful than our last big money halfback signing! I am a little more confident that it will!

Hate to put this on a downer but huge money players rarely pay off. Fielden for Wigan, King for warrington, who are probably the highest earners in SL till orford arrives

Great signing, we seem to have got what some fans have called for in a marquee player and deacs leaving. Really looking forward to seeing what he brings this season.

No doubt about it, this is a great signing. Whether it works out or not remains to be seen, but it shows the club still have ambitions of moving up the league ladder and pushing for trophies.

Before the silly brigade expand his wage way beyond reality he has signed for £280,000 a year for 3 years, total £840,000 for the full contract including bonuses housing car etc at the current conversion rate , less than Iestyn was on if the experts on here are to be believed !!!

Lets hope he has the desired effect on the teams performance.

I'm looking forward to watching him play in superleague. He's a class act and the moves of him to Bradford and Deacon to us suits everyone down to the ground.

You get a superstar player thats got experience and will raise the Bradford profile back up and we get an experienced halfback who'll be doing some coaching and will give us playing cover and a steady kicking game. It's nice that he a Wigan lad also.

Good signing. Deacs looked shot at times last year and was getting some bad knocks. No sense in taking that any longer, hope his new role at Wigan works out.

Orford's the creative half we need and should be up near the top for assists next year.

On the salary front if he performs and the team does well I couldn't care less what he earns.

We're still lacking some strike power in the centres and wings but as Tigs says we're not the only team in that situation.

If Orford plays well for us next year I forsee a finish around 5th/6th.

Exactly the sort of signing we needed. Will improve our team a great heap and will be one of the top halves in SL next season.


Well Done Paul Deacon, you've been one of the best players I've ever seen in a Bradford shirt, your kicking over the years has been second to none, and you guided us to a very successful time which will be remembered by us all.
