RhinoLaney was a Bulls fan until he switched allegiance to the Rhinos when he was about 12. I remember the school leaving assembly when it showed photos of kids in their younger days and there he was, completely decked out in Bulls gear!

Anyway David Baldwin has confirmed that Bradford City haven't made an official bid.
They simply said they would help Bradford Bulls out anyway they could advice etc seen as though we've been in the same situation.
They've spoke to the RFL also but no bid.

LIke I said in the T & A comments Amateur Hour It was just a ploy by City to get more Fans to the meeting, City are still struggling to keep afloat after the Richmond Years whereas the Bulls didn't quite make it after Caisleys Tenure. City do not have the finances to support both Clubs unless its asset strips one to pay for the other in that case I would be a very worried City Fan but it ain't gonna happen!

As far as we were told last night at the forum there WAS a bid put in for you guys which was unconditional but it wasn't from Bradford City or anyone to do with the club.

Bradford City simply offered as much help as possible to your club.

David Baldwin was very saddened by the events at Odsal and said it would be a disgrace if the Bulls were to go under. He and the board of directors would do as much as they could to help keep you going.

Bradford City are struggling? I'd take a look at your own Rugby club before brandishing such stupid comments.

Great season ticket sales.
Great flexi-card sales.
One of the highest wages in League 2 to build a strong team (Which I think for the first time in a long while we have)
We aren't in any debt as such and are very much in the black.

So succinctly CC and his cohorts will have to show to BG by Noon that they have sufficient liquidity to pay SL wages for 12 months even though there is no guarantee of being in SL. In addition all the Liabilities to be paid as well - which then would guarantee SL next season.

Also , the elephant in my room , WHO would want to then own a Club losing money if that club wants to remain competitive ? ie what has happened to you over the last 5 years etc

Slightly different to version I've heard which agrees it isnt Bradford City which put a bid in but it is someone on Citys board of directors who is involved. T&A heard their name and made wrong conclusion that bid was on behalf of Bradford City rather than as a private group.

Guess we'll find out for sure in next hour or two unless there's yet another deadline extension............

Miseries what I posted, meant to say someone connected to a board member rather than actually on the board.

Which means that either, there is no-one at City involved, or that Mr Baldwin is very adept at not answering questions he doesn't want to answer. So, which is it, I wonder?

Dave has worked wonders for Bradford City.
Many of us feel that if he wasn't at City we wouldn't have a club.
Yes, Mark & Julian are the money men but Dave oversees the day to day running costs of the club.
You wouldn't go wrong with him sorting your finances out I tell you buddy!

My reply wasn't meant, in any way, as a pejorative comment, far from it. I would expect most successful business people to be able to deflect questions or keep their cards close to their chests - or however you want to describe it.

Truth is they can't always be totally open about their plans - even if they would prefer to be.

What if.......

Someone who happens to be on the current City Board sets up a new company called for example "Bradford Sporting Club PLC" and gains support from a number of business colleagues from across the District who invest in this new company. This company, BSC, then bids for and gets the Bulls. BSC then offers to "buy out" City's shareholding with a share offering from the new company, therefore effectively transferring ownership to BSC.

In this scenario, what David said last night is perfectly true, no one from BCFC is or has made a bid for the Bulls. Don't forget, I am not talking about individuals here but rather companies who are legal entities in their own right.
