I'll admit - I've given Lynch some fair stick this season, not running hard enough being his key issue for me. Tonight showed him for the player he is. He ran in hard, looked for the sensible offloads, tackled well and shone (along with Burgess) in a pack that was (all in all) outplayed.

He isn't. Just another one of the hyped up average players at Bulls than fans somehow seem to love.

Funnily enough, the majority of fans of other clubs - and, seemingly, at least one other club chairman - don't share your view. Holding a contrary view to almost everybody else is nothing to be ashamed of though Mike, it happens. Usually history proves whose view was closest anyway and sometimes the contrary view even wins out. Probably not this time, for sure, but it does happen sometimes.

I really am glad your not in charge of this club. Kearney and Lynch aren't Benji Marshall standard. But they are the best WE HAVE GOT!!!!! Say you got rid of Kearney & Lynch. Please tell me who you would replace them with. Lynch isn't an aggressive prop, but he's the one who carries us down field time & time again (as his stats show). So get rid of the other 3 props and bring in an enforcer.

I like why you'd get rid of Kearney & Lynch and keep the other load of tripe in Platt, Sykes, Hargreaves, Langley,etc. You would keep them over Lynch and Kearney!!??? If the answer is no then good luck in finding 8+ players who are better. You really are deluded.

We can't attract superstars anymore because we have missed the play-offs 3 years in a row. If Kearney and Lynch went then we wouldn't have a chance of getting players of similar quality.

As someone said earlier, Ben Ross would be a good signing to go along side Lynch. But to replace him is a massive step backwards as i very much doubt he would get through the work Lynch does. There are about 15 other players i would look at replacing before Kearney (who has won the MOM points thing on here) and Lynch (I think the 5th highest metre maker in the whole league)

That's rubbish IMO players may trot this line out but ultimately they are driven by who pays the most £££££ nothing else.

I think the truth lies somewhere in the middle. The money will be likely the deciding factor but I wouldn't dismiss the chance of winning trophies as a factor in a player signing.

I think your missing out on the value of employing people while they still know everything. People who can instantly tell when a young player is 'poop' or 'pants' or should be "got rid of" is someone every club would pay a fortune to employ.

think thats more a case of picking out players that fans are likely to get excited about. Dont think lynch falls into that category really.

Burgess is probably our most valuable asset now. He's been the bright spot for me this season and is one of the few players we have who's exciting to watch.

Daft as that clearly is (from an overall POV), I'm certain you're right. You only have to listen to the cheers when he appears on the field. The fact that he is very young and has had such an effect bodes well for the future and excites us all.

Let's hope the club make efforts during the winter to bump his salary and keep him here for a few more years, maybe they already have. One thing which would seriously dent plans would be if he were to go.

Said for a while most positive thing club could do would be to get Tom tied down to a long deal. But I cant see it happening. Think he'll see out his current deal then join his brothers down under. Think the lure of the lifestyle will prove too much and dont think it will really matter how much money we throw at him.

Well we should offer him a new deal now whilst establishing himself as a 1st choice player is very much a possibility in the next season instead of waiting till 3 months to the end of the season and his deal is about to run out. Maybe we should have done this when he decided to stay and not go to Aussie to reward his loyalty.

Well anything's possible I guess, but it was his decision to stay here and try and breakthrough in the UK without all the distractions of having his brothers around. He is his own man here, not just one of "the bothers" so maybe, and hopefully, he still feels the same way.
