So basically, the pitch is - does anyone want to come, and lose lots of money, on a below average rugby league team with a dwindling fan base?

Christ, this trolling is getting boring.
In summary, Bradford Bulls are a bit screwed for a few reasons, due to a combination of poor management and the lack of a sugar daddy, and this season will be especially hard because of the season ticket liability, other historic debts, and reduced central funding.
Thing is, Flexy, we know this, and attempts to put a positive spin on it or to be constructive are due to a lack of other options. I mean, we could take the web-toed flat capper approach and melt our season tickets on a red amber and black funeral pyre, but that would conform to the fickle, parochial RL stereotype, and there's quite enough of that already about the place.

You need to prepare yourself for the possibility that the Bulls might survive.
Try and and envisage it now and it won't come as such a shattering blow if and when, it eventually happens.

As far as I know, the sponsors have been supportive, especially Provident. I don't know how the money is spread out though throughout the season, annually, quarterly, not sure. So there may still be sponsors money coming in.
Season tickets sales were poor (for reasons of uncertainty, rather that anything else), so there is a [ichance[/i of higher than usual (usual being the last 3 seasons) walkup ticket sales.
There are now only 8months until (if we avoid relegation) we get full upgraded Sky allocation!
So it's not quite that bleak. Just mostly bleak. With a glimmer of sunlight.

| And I would think that the first thing a new owner would do is a season ticket deal for the remaining home games, to try and encourage the uncertain ones to rejoin & support the club.

Why is it when someone straight talks, and it's not what you want to hear, it's trolling?
There are threads on here from 2010 where opposition fans questioned the pledge deal and they were treated with similiar disdain, it's just typical of bulls fans.
Whoever comes in, will lose money, at least at first to plug the holes. Statistically, the attendances have declined and the team on the field haven't finished in the top 8 (from a 14 team league) for 4 seasons, so they are below average.
None of what i wrote is untrue, it was just expressed very bluntly. I understand the need for bulls to positive spin and be optimistic, of course. But be realistic as well, the bulls aren't a very appetising prospect, so it shouldn't really come as a big suprise when there is no sugar daddy.
If one does come in, then great, but it still might not prevent the bulls from getting relegated.

Because you are repeating, ad nauseam, things that are so obviously true. Either you are a little simple and confuse repetition for reasoned debate and insight, or you are gloating at the misfortune of others. I have respect for my fellow human beings, so I choose to believe the latter.

The pledge deal was a one shot gamble. Ticket prices would have to go up the next season, so that season needed to be [iperceived[/i as successful. Which invariably means playoff rugby or a good cup run.
And for that season to work, we needed Orford to stay fit.
The ones who were treated with disdain back then were the ones who said it wouldn't work. Guaranteed, black/white blinkered approach. Because only stupid people or trolls deal in absolutes. The only guarantees in life are death, and taxation.
That season could have worked, and then the ticket pledge would have done its job, and then tickets could go back up. But it was a huge gamble, and most people knew it was a one-shot deal, whose success could only be measured by events on the pitch.

| Its weird how some people think ‘straight talking’ is something to be admired.
In my experience anyone I have met who has described themselves as ‘straight talking’ is generally just an insecure, insensitive asshat who lacks basic social skills and common courtesy. They seem oddly proud of their bravery in being so ‘straight talking’, like they imagine themselves as some harbinger of undiscovered simple truths, whilst the people they are talking to are simply equating straight talking with an abrasive, over-aggressive moron who needs to stop making these dumb generalisations, logical fallacies and insulting and offensive statements.
An inability for empathy, a lack of social grace, an under-developed ability to express and communicate ideas in a way that connects with the audience is not something to be proud of, it is evidence of a struggling intellect and frustration and insecurity in your own beliefs.

I think Flex might adopt this persona "on purpose" and not be as much of an "asshat" in real life.
At least I hope so for his/her sake
Point well made though.

Oh christ! Who's defending us on the VT if you're on here?
Ladies and Gentlemen if you don't know the above poster they are one of our most vocal advocates, and despite not even being a Bradford supporter has been willing to do battle with those who wish us ill on a daily basis (saddo).
Sorry to be so sycophantic, but we spend so much time battling anyone who wheels out flexible interpretation of facts that we forget we do have some neutral friends!

its a pretty interesting question though. Is Flexwheeler not more of an asshat for only pretending to be an asshat?
I mean i would have at least a little sympathy for someone who was just naturally an asshat, they have no choice about it, their asshattery is almost a disability.
Those who just pretending to be an asshat are making a deliberate choice to be an asshat, that surely must increase their asshattery level. Like an asshat Donnie Brasco they have spent so long thinking they were pretending to be an asshat they lines have become blurred and their very pretence of asshattery has drawn them in to being an asshat.

| So who are the 5 runners? And who is actually riding them…….
Stall 1 – Richard Lamb is the face, but who is behind him?
Stall 2 – BPA – Park Avenue have teamed up with Ms Wiley and she has been vocal to say that no ex director/owner of the Bulls is involved
Stall 3 – BCFC, plans to move us to VP no doubt
Stall 4 – Omar Khan, how he will be allowed to get involved is anyones guess
Stall 5 – Koukash – is it the missus, the brother or AN Other family member?
So where does Caisley fit in? Is Hood/Bennett still lurking about?
Who does everyone want? What will be the best for the Bulls? Creditors? RL in general

| I reckon Caisley is in stall 1.I don't think Hood will be involved but maybe a dark horse(pun intended) could be Andrew Bennett, see him in Cue Gardens before the game.Hes got a bit of brass. How Omar has the nerve to show an interest is unbelievable, I wonder if he's just trying to get as much brass back as poss and then do one again leaving the club in the turd again
Hopefully stall 2 doesn't get started and is left standing posing for photos in a Bulls shirt
Stall 3 know how to run a sports club
Would love it to be stall 5 and all the excitement it brings, then they would probably bugger off the same day the Dr leaves in Salford, leaving us in the turd again
Seen as though it's Cheltenham this week, could this be our Gold Cup or Novices Handicap
