| Quote ="jockabull"Club has just announced they've sold out their allocation of Adult tickets. Good news.
Does this mean there will be problems getting tickets on the day though?'"
I can't see the Pink Link stand being full. It holds 4000 and the Bulls allocation isn't that many - maybe someone on here can confirm how many we were given? So you should be ok paying on the gate it's just a few quid more expensive.
I bought mine directly from the Galpharm for that stand - for a tenner using the voucher in a HTFC season ticket. You could give them a ring and buy it today in advance and pick up from the ticket office. It saves you about a fiver I think?

| You'll have no problem getting in on the day if you've sold your allocation. Away fans can go in any side of the ground, I think it's more to do with away ticket allocations are for behind the sticks and people paying at the gate either assume they have to sit behind the sticks, or they want to so they're with the majority of your fans. Sounds like it's going to be a decent crowd which should make a good atmosphere.

| Just been in touch with my mate at our club. Your club requested 500 tickets which sold out about an hour ago. Our club's ticket office is busy at the moment with Bulls fans buying tickets and they are expecting about 1500 Bulls fans on Sunday.

| Cheers for the replies. Going to be a late call for me as to whether I can go so will have to pay on the gate.

| Are there rules about how many tickets each club should allocate to the away side in advance? I know football does. If Crusaders gave us 900, why would Huddersfield ( with a bigger & better & closer stadium) only give us 500. Is it financial? Is there a mechanism for the away club to request more? Is it purely down to the away club to ask for enough in the first place?

| Not sure but the text I recieved said the Bulls requested 500 which is what they were sent. Don't know why only 500, I would have thought your club could have requested say 2000 and returned the rest unless the away club have to pay upfront for the tickets which would be why you requested 500 as it's a pretty safe bet so far this season that they'd all be bought.

If that many do go over maybe it will shut up some of the posters on hudds site saying we have poor away support.

Be serious pal. I was there to applaud them after the game when the Bulls fans had gone. We're talking nearer 1000 which was about 5 times more than you brought to ours last season.

| Well I am feeling lucky today...was thinking about ringing the Giants Ticket Office to get cheaper tickets and then I got a phone call from Yorkshire Radio saying I won the pair of tickets to the game that were up for grabs in last night's show ! Tickets are most likely for where the home fans are so I will do my best to represent the Bulls in that section of crowd . Bring on Sunday!

O'Brien in for a debut? Given that Addy turned out for the u20's?

Surprising if true given Addy's performance last week.

| tbh if u20's were playing tomorrow or before game on sunday then I wouldnt expect addy to play 1st team as well. But dont see why playing last night should rule him out. That said I would like to see o'brien given a shot as the bench hooker. surely makes sense to play a youngster in his natural position. If addy does feature I'd hope it would be at loose, even if only off the bench. I'd bring o'brien onto bench in place of sibbit and otherwise play same team as last week.

| I thought the same thing about Addy when I read the u20s match report. Especially when O'Brien was missing. Shame as I thought Addy played well last week.
Did anyone else ready Hood's column in the program? He was talking about Olbison and Addy having a limit on the number of games they could play based on the class of player they were. Anyone know what the practical impact of that would be?

I believe it's to do with the salary cap and that young players get either a bonus or pay rise if they play in x number of games a season before a certain age

It's on the lines of having so many players outside of the 20k+ a year squad.
From what I remember the players outside it are only allowed to play ten games per season but Peter Hood was going to challenge the RFL on the ruling and ask for some special dispensation.

They'll swap them at the ticket office for the Pink Link.
I won Real Radio tickets for the game at JJB a couple of years ago and they changed them to our end.

That's my take on it too, which begs the question, would we be better served by using our 'spare' cap money on playing such as Addy and O'Brien a bit more (assuming the coaching staff are happy that the extra rugby isn't going to be detrimental to their development) rather than bringing in another 'star' signing at a later date?

probably a case of keeping our options open at this stage. as long as we have enough players able to play then it makes more sense to spread the workload and experience amongst the younger players who dont count on cap and keep as much cap space available for a signing as possible.
