Wigan Warriors U20's fixture against Bradford Bulls U20's at Odsal on Sunday has been postponed.

Heavy snowfall overnight has now been cleared from the pitch at the Grattan Stadium, however an early decision has been taken as it is not expected that the wet conditions will sustain two back-to-back games.

At present the First Team game is not in jeapordy.

If thats correct then one of worst combination we could have picked from players we have available imo. Kearney not creative enough for 7 imo. would have addy or l'estrange there before kearney. And sykes only looks good at SO alongside a quality scrumhalf.

That's the line up that is very much probable in the T&A.

IMO we missed Sykes last week in that crucial last twenty minutes, for he had the big game experience to keep us calm and focused.

when has sykes ever played in a big game? big mistake imo if we play sykes in halves. I wouldnt even play him in three quarters unless platt or walker were unavailable.

Are we not even going to consider using Southernwood?

Big game shouldn't read Grand Finals etc but he has played in the big occasion games before where we have held a lead and then somehow seen to be swandering it.

IMO he should be in the 17 tomorrow but not at stand off as the T&A says.

Mick Potter thinks he's not physically developed and ready for week in, week out Super League yet.

The second half at Dewsbury really makes me question the above, but I'm sure that Potter knows what's best for young Cain.

Besides he isn't even in the 19 man squad so we can't play him tomorrow.

so he's played in big games where weve squandered a lead before.hardly a glowing recommendation. how does that qualify him to stop us doing the same again?



If he isnt in halves then theres no where in squad for him to play though unless we go with addy kearney halves and royston loose. in which case one off platt/sykes would be fullback. But if kearney stays at Fb and ah van goes into halves we'd play ainscough before sykes imo. neither platt or walker did anything to warrant dropping to make way for sykes last week.

This is the probable line up in the T&A that is 9/10 right.

I know he's not included in the 19 man squad but I thought he may have been considered an option for Sunday. It could have been a good opportunity for him to come in and try and do a job albiet against a strong team that will focus on him and put a lot of pressure on him.

I feel he has a lot more to over in the halves then Sykes does.

I would be inclined not throw Southernwood straight in against the strongest team in the competition, especially when the team as a whole is still trying to fully gel. He'd surely get targeted in every way quite unmercifully. At least Sykes would bring loads of experience of and toughness from having played against that sort of opposition, as well as flexibility for any moving around.

That is true about Sykes bringing the experience and mental & physical toughness to the role. It's a shame Cain isn't in the squad but I imagine he'd either be dropped from the final 17 or would be on the bench for 75 minutes (McNamara style super sub).

That is the point I was trying to get across in that he has played in the big occasion games before and thus has the experience of and toughness etc.

He should be in the 17.

If thats the case then obviously no chance of game going ahead, on bbc weather just says mist/fog.

That's what it said earlier on although it's now saying light rain which I hope is correct.
