| Well, before Green took over we had several groups claiming they were buying or had bought the club. No doubt they set up their holding companies for that very reason. It could just be an oversight and it's one of THESE holding companies that has caused the issue

| Quote ="mat"Even taking clubs explanation at face value and it is a mistake, yet again it's terrible timing at start of season ticket push. Combined with ferres' articles can see our total being significantly lower this year. I'll be holding on while until things settle down before renewing ours for sure.'"
Yep, this is possibly the club’s hardest season ticket sell in our recent past – and that’s saying something considering the past 5 years. Having been through the system once, the “adventure” of 2nd tier rugby is wearing off, and people have quickly become aware that the 8s are the main act and the regular season is a very long warm up. Of course you’ve got to be in it to win it, but I’ve got a feeling that there will be less people willing to sit through the entirety of the warm up in 2016 and onwards.
Like you say, reports like this today don’t help. I too am willing to give the current lot the benefit of the doubt (is it only Mick Gledhill saying Green is looking to sell, or is it anyone else?) – but the current incumbents really are in the last chance saloon with stuff like this, not entirely by their own doing I admit, but such is life when you take on a damaged club. I wouldn’t blame people having been through the past few years, seeing a few more headlines like this and packing it in long term. The club cannot take the board deceiving the fans again in such a short period of time, it would be very damaging.
I know that sounds hyperbolic/worst case scenarios and it may or may not be nothing but some serious firefighting is needed by the club over this, however innocuous it may be as I think a lot of fans are understandably scarred from our previous adventures with the tax office – and beyond.

| Willing to give MG and co the benefit of the doubt. Let's be honest, half the reason we were so gutted about missing out on promotion was because off the field, we seemed to be getting things spot on for a change.
Oh a Mick Gledhill is the only person I've seen mention Green is willing to sell.
Timing couldn't have been worse after Ferres poor PR articles.
Club desperately needs some signings soon to give everyone a boost!

| Could be summat or nowt
We had this 2 years ago. The club had been in discussions with HMRC about a debt and agreed to pay it in 4 monthly payments, The initial debt was for just 22k. Then after Fev had made 2 payments on time, the HMRC decided to advertise the winding up order even though only 11k was owing. Fev Brought forward the final payments and paid the 11k in full.

| I wonder if that credit card cock up caused a fiscal hiatus that possibly triggered an unfortunate response by HMRC?
A ticket I bought in August has only just gone through, but to the Bulls not the RFL as happened with some

I can't imagine anybody wanting to buy the club at the moment unless the RFL change the rules on club ownership.

| There are people who might be in the market for sports clubs, but if one is in financial strife, the trick is to end up buying it for a quid off a liquidator. Not sure what the penalties for an insolvency are in the Championship but under this format I should thing playing-wise not much - you could still make the Super 8s with a 6 point penalty. That's in general terms though. Turning to our own case, it is seriously to be hoped we aren't going down such a road again because if we did, I wouldn't see many ways back this time round.
If we have major problems - let's hope we don't - I wonder what Mandy is up to nowadays?

| Is it possible that Jimmy was aware of this situation which possibly explains his reaction at the end of the £1m game. Did he know more than us how important it was that we won and got that extra £1m into the club? Did he actually speak the truth in frustration?
If the HMRC did make a mistake and a club lost possible sales and investment because of it couldn't the club sue them. If so, I would be very surprised if it is a mistake. Surely they would get their facts right and inform the business before it was advertised - thus possibly badly affecting the businesses income. My gut feeling is there is some truth in this somewhere - but hopefully just a small amount which triggered an automatic reaction from HMRC.
This doesn't feel right to me and I assume the club has struggled again at some point.
It makes it clear to me that we MUST go up at the end of this next season otherwise we could be stuck here and downsize to match - which could see us become a permanent championship club until the RFL devise a plan to get us up, but they will only do that if the club is stable. If we have yet another financial crisis that could make the RFL decide we need to stay in the championship for many years till we have proven over a 5-10 year spell that we are run properly again. If we did mess up again and I were the RFL I wouldn't go out of my way to get us up for quite a few years of stability. Green taking over was our chance to show that. Lets hope we haven't just taken two steps backwards again and scared the RFL off finding a way of getting us up again.

| I wonder if it's the VAT that is owing, the VAT element is the most likely to act without much thought as they are a very poweful element of the tax collection process. Compensation if they got it wrong is virtually unheard of.
In my experience owing income tax is better than VAT ie prisoners are not taken.
Let's hope it's neither!

Why should the RFL help you up.
What makes Bradford so special that you think you don't deserve to be where you are.
If you want out of the championship, earn it.

When your club has been through as much as our club you can comment. There were lots of things that went on with our Club which have never come to light and which we had no control over. We dont want your sympathy and we never take anything for granted. Your advice we dont need.

| It's about time the RFL got a grip of the situation that Bulls find themselves in for the third time. All they have Over other Clubs is a larger Fan base. It's a business that gets subsidised by income via Sky . Khan used others money and Green got control on the basis of a loan he made. The Councils loan has never been paid back but plenty have filled their boots. The fans are arrogant in thinking that Taxes do not need to be paid.
Stop expecting hand outs it is getting Rugby League a bad reputation.
