maybe not all that far fetched. The top SL clubs wigan,sts,wire,hudds,leeds all have halves signed for next year. NRL cluns arent keen on signing players with off field issues. I know people will say todd carney, but he's a class above seymour so they turned a blind eye to his indiscretions. WE'd probably be in competition with warriors (who arent rushing to re-sign him) and then teams like hull fc and salford. Seems strange we'd let cat out of bag that were talking to him and make other clubs aware he could be available. If hes interested we should definitely be interested.

dont think its a case of dumping jeffries. at this point its no certainty that herbert will be here next year but if last few years have shown us anything its the need to have more halves in the squad than the starting two. Competition for starting spots can only be a good thing IMO.
