Menzies plus Nero, plus the two announced signings plus we assume Kearney & Walker = 6? The 6 we are allowed?

Walker will be a useless signing unless you guys have some great halves.

He has also had his fair share of injuries over the years.

Kearny is also a injury prone player. If he can stay injury free would be a handy fullback. A bit of a rocks and diamonds type of player. Can play great one week and the following week make plenty of errors.
Fullback is the only place I would use him. He did play some hooker and in the halves in his junior days.

Menzies is class, but you guys would know that



Is Nero aussie or Kiwi? Can't recall him ever playing in the NRL.

Does Nero count as an out and out foreigner? Isn't he a non fed trained as opposed to overseas player due to his dual Italian and Australian nationality?

I just looked him up and he played with St George Dragons in 2003.

Played 7 in first grade in and out of the team and than has been in England ever since.

On his current contract, he counts as non-fed trained, for the reasons you mention (though there is some dispute over whether his EU passport is Italian or Greek).

If / when he signs another SL contract (for anyone), he will be classed as fed-trained.

After sacking their coach I suspect the Burgess to Souths rumours may be taking a back seat for a while.

Who's to say any incoming coach would still be keen on the deal.

If I was the incoming coach of Souths, signing Sam would be the first thing on my agenda. It would win the fans over straight away!!
