| My 10 yr old daughter loves the parade and especially seeing bullman and bullboy. We both thought the band were good as well.
As per usual the Bulls are not going to please everyone all the time. Or it would appear some of the posters on here are beginning to show their age a bit?

| As others have said, much of the pre-match stuff is for the littlies!
My too certainly enjoy that part.
Like it or not these are the future people who will be filling the ground, so getting them there week in week out is vital.
I didn't think the band were too bad at all - just loud - it's too much for little ears!

| Surprised that anyone enjoyed that band. It might not be to my taste, but I like to think I can still appreciate if someone's good at what they're doing or not.
Those three didn't seem to be in tune and certainly struggled to sing together on quite a few occasions. A lot of people around me were actually cringing at times, and not just because it was too loud (which no doubt didn't help them).
Yes, they need to get different entertainment for different tastes, I agree. But if they're going to get someone to aim for that taste, I'd rather they at least got someone who seemed remotely talented. The three girls on the stage seemed to me like decent dancers singing karaoke.

| Email Stuart Duffy.
I personally think Bullman's Parade is excellent, although I admit I never watch it.

| The parade is fine, it's still appealing to the kids I think even if the days of the whole main stand rising at the very sight of Bullman ended years back.
I wish they would ditch the second rate pub acts though. It would be nice to hold a conversation before the game and soak in the Odsal ambience as it draws nearer to kick off. Especially now that we have the big time feel back. It's little surprise that we are not the most vociferous of support at home after 15 years of the American style 'clap in rhythm to this Queen song' programming still very much in vogue at Odsal despite the Deakin revolution being so long ago that some of our top prospects were in Primary school at that time.
At the very least, could we just turn the speakers down a little?

| I actually don't mind the entertainment that much, yes sometimes it's not to my liking but guess what, most of the charts isn't nowadays. I didn't think the band did that bad of a job at the weekend, yes it's a bit loud and it's difficult to hold a conversation with the guy next to you on the popular side but again it doesn't bother me to the point where it affects my enjoyment.
The parade is ok and the fact that balls are now chucked in for the kids adds a highlight for them and I'm sure we'll be seeing a rush down by the younger generation to the front in future matches.

| It's a disgrace that they aren't getting acts like Rihanna or Katy Perry to do the prematch entertainment it's a total lack of ambition. I suggested forcing Oasis to reform but it fell on deaf ears and when I suggested tempting Michael Jackson out of retirement Duffy said something about "mortal hurdles" being in the way. Total lack of ambition and totally half hearted!

I think this is the point. I actually like the idea of getting bands on, and accept that they need to do different ones to cater to all tastes (and again I point out that I thought the band at the Wigan game were very good). However on Sunday it was just too loud. That meant that those people who weren't bothered about the girl group "performing", couldn't have a conversation on the terraces (and I assume in the stand too), as you couldn't hear the person you were talking to (or at least I certainly struggled with that).
I'd like to see us keep the bands, but just not quite THAT loud, so that people who aren't bothered about the band can at least talk to each other. It's fine if you're enjoying the band, but if it stays that loud, all it will encourage me to do is check out who the pre-match is beforehand, and if it looks like something I won't enjoy, I won't get there until late in the day (which will mean at least one less pint will be sold). If others think that, it can affect your bar (and food) takings. Keeping it at a reasonable level, while still loud enough to enjoy it if you are watching them, would mean everybody's happy.

| I like the fact that Bullman's Parade is accompanied by some 80s cock rock in the shape of 'Panama' by Van Halen, quality stuff!
That girl band were not my cuppa tea but apart from them being a bit loud, they didn't bother me. Not sure what's worse though - a really loud bit of entertainment or something so quiet it may as well not be on. I did notice some people applauded them when they were done though, maybe some folk liked them?
One thing I did think about yesterday is that it would be nice to have more bars and places where people can sit. Cue Gardens was packed as I walked past (perhaps in part due to Man U v Liverpool match being on telly, but a lot of people were outside too) and it would be good if there was more scope for people to spend their beer money inside the ground, perhaps even a bar or two on the upper concourse. One of the best assets of Odsal is the amount of space around the ground - lets use it!

Not sure about Rihana, I think I saw them a few years back and didn't rate them to be honest, though I've never really been into the folky stuff to be honest. Kathy is good though, but to me a ventriloquist would be hard to appreciate in the big Odsal bowl, I mean, how would you tell if her lips were moving?
If Jacko is available it wouldn be dead good see him at the 'Bowl of Dreams', though I think Duffy has a relation who sings a bit.....she'd be OK.

Errm, in a word no.
I worked in a number of bands over the years (and once played in the old club house at Odsal in the speedway days), they were reasonable bands for the most part (particularly in the later years), even if I say so myself, and we worked all over the place (some of them quite classy) but a few years ago I met a guy I worked with in my first band (I was 1icon_cool.gif and he copied some tapes he'd done at the time. We honestly thought we were the bees knees back in the late sixties, but I'm here to tell you now we were utter shiite. Funny thing is we got away with it in the clubs and pubs (must have been the families, cheerleading ) but some kids who've just got some kit and are still very much learning the game (not that you [iever[/i stop learning) are very unlikely to cut it in the rarefied atmosphere of the Odsal bowl imo.
