Yeah but Kearney and Blythe are set to miss the start of the season so I didn't include them. Forgot about George.

This doesn't really excuse what sounds like an abject performance. I'm not trying to be overly harsh, but something needs to be done to address the lack of depth at prop for starters. Oh, and tackling.

So we've had 3 pre season friendlies and only had one where our half back played together. Why oh why are we using this to play Addy at half back. Unless Gaskell and Sammut are injured then its a poor decision to have just had one pre season friendly with out first choice half backs. Some of our players have only had 1 pre season friendly!

Our opening 3 games are crucial to our season ad we may be going into it very undercooked

Find a fullback that can tackle. Abysmal.

Purtell was terrible . I am usually a fan ofhim but today he was pointless. Also foster is not a fullback . I think gaskell played very well there against hull. My only possible thread of hope after that match is that we were trying to play badly to trick everyone.

Purtell is nailed on for 2014's scapegoat.

Maybe, just maybe Franny did not want to give too much away before our season opener against them. I really hope so. Can only imagine that is why no sammut, carvell, sidlow, etc, he was keeping them under wraps. Please let this be right

Sammut drew the half time draw and was limping. Hopefully nothing major and he will be back in two weeks.
That was a dire performance. I am very disappointed in Ferguson. He was anonymous unlike the two Cas second rows who bossed us all game.
I am confident that we will not drop off quite so many tackles in two weeks and you could see that after Cas scored in the second half, that we could not be bothered. Not sure that is good enough really but can understand I suppose. Who wants to get injured in a friendly?

It will be closer in two weeks. Hopefully will have full strength team out and will play properly. If that really is all we have though, it is going to be a long season...

I think Cas will go better under Powell than they did under Millward even without Chase.

As others have said not a full strength team and suspect in 2nd Half we took our foot off gas to avoid injuries rather than chase the game. Certainly not preferable but maybe understandable given small squad.

I mentioned elsewhere but we do tend to take a bit of a dicking after a take-over announcement!
