Even with video refs they still get it wrong - Deacon's disallowed try in 2002 GF is one example - Video Ref Gerry Kershaw later admitted it should've stood. That was overshadowed by the JVT furore unfortunately. Then there was the Magic Weekend debacle with Ganson and Klein mucking it up together.
If things were reffed properly we’d have had 3 GF’s on the bounce. Although I think that might have messed up our 100% in the WCC as we’d have had to have faced Brisbane in the 2003 game!
I still can’t get over people crowding on Manchester Road to see the bus go into town and then have that many people out supporting the lads. Madness. I was only 5 then. Wished I’d been a touch older so I could remember the 90’s. My first proper memory was watching the Wide to West on TV and the 2001 Season.
