Quote ="Duckman"Just on that 30% figure, 3000 individual pledges that the club keep telling us about. This figure does not equate to 70% not pledging. I would suggest many individual pledges count for the household/family pledge. It did in mine. 1 individual pledge = 4 members, more than £100. So its not a fair relection of the figures IMHO to say 70% of members have not pledged, which is the implication.
Plus the Donny attendance I think compared fine with other super league clubs at home against lower league opposition. (Wigan 4198, London 652
) I thought it was ok considering the extra amount people have been paying out for the club in the last couple of weeks.'"
I do think your right on this and I think another reason for the low attendance as such for the Doncaster game has come from the fact that this year Season Ticket holders had to pay, until this year the first round of the CC has been free to ST holders. As you have said many people have pledged and that takes a lot out of the family budget, what we may have to do is miss a few away games and just keep to home games for now and that is not what we usually do as we as a family usually travel to home and away games.
Something has to give somewhere.
On the subject of people pledging and not paying what they pledged is a bit of a sore point to me, I understand the frustration and the lack of information coming out from the Bulls just now but I'm guessing a lot of confidential discussions are going on and as soon as things get confirmed and signed we will hear what we need, its hard I know but it is all we can do.
If some things we hear in the press come to pass then we really are in trouble but I'll shut up about it now I promise
