The more I think about it the more I think Brown is just a terrible version of Millward .. I mean Millward used to do crazy stuff and occasionally pick weird teams but it worked (obviously helped having alot better quality players) where Brown just does it and it just comes back and hits him in the face week in week out like a turd on a catapult.

Well the squad has been announced, but the question is who will play where. At least Howarth has been omitted so he won't be playing prop or wing this week. It has got to the stage where I sit with trepidation awaiting the team to be read out. Other than playing Wellens, what other crazy selections is Brown capable of.

How far away is Gaz Wheeler I hope he is not having the mind over matter issue again, I really want him to finish the season off well.

Its do or die for Wheeler now, another serious injury between now and the end of 2013 and he is finished at Saints.

I'm sure he said he was playing for Rochdale this week or next. I know he was back in full training when we played Salford few week back.

That could be a possibility because Myler's injured and Atkins was injured in the leeds game. Depending which way Smith wants to go with selection he could put Ratchford in the centre's meaning O'Brien will be needed in there halves. Unless he puts Chris Bridge back in.

I don't think I've ever seen a scrumhalf drop the ball as much as O'Brian or throw so many poor passes. I don't think I'd keep him to be honest but his goal kicking could prove important

O'Brien isn't good enough - far too many simple errors in his game I reckon.

It's the kind of thing you'd like to think could be coached out of him

I wonder how much Real Coaching goes on these days, is it mainly fitness? two of the best coaches who players seem to identify with greatly are Mark Aston Sheffield & Daryl Powell Brits! not saying they are at the top of their trade yet but they both work well.

I wouldn't have thrown Wheeler in against Wigan anyway. With their style of tackling in derby games, he'd have been lucky to last 10 minutes.

Danny Yates will be a year older by next season and so will have had a little extra time to physically mature.

Played really well at the weekend though. Directed the side well along with Wilkin, and the defensive side of his game impressed me. He's not the biggest, but his technique is perfect.
