As far as I know we don't have any talent at hooker in reserve at the mo, hence the re-signing of Liam Bostock, who IMO is not good enough to be running out for the first team.

Spot on, Wilkin has often taken the impotus at dummy half and his defence is solid enough to allow him to fill in. Not ideal but he can do the job as interchange.

I'm not sure Wello's injury turned out bad enough to need mid season surgery though i seem to remember something along those lines.

I think it will be a gamble either way to be honest. We are steadily losing the core players that have helped us be so successful in Super league.

True, but have to look at the effectiveness of the player. I think it's fair to say that Keiron's current form is not what it was last season. If the decline contines (or, as is the case with other players, accelerates) he may hamper our efforts next season.

Could be a blessing in disguise, give us a chance to see how we'll cope when KC retires and how the other squad members cope.

Totally agree - it's just another reason why we need to ensure Scott Moore is at the club next season with or without KC

I've no doubt that Lomax could do a pretty good job at nine. But he's seems a bit too similar to Roby for the impact hooker to work effectively.

Why not start Roby with the mind set of working on the more patient side of his game. That can't do much harm.

I think Wilkin is the best option. His kicking game could be useful from the play the ball. Gives us an extra 10 - 15m.

KC has been a shade of his ability in recent weeks.

Time off will be good for the side, and also for him. Hopefully he will come back energised and eager to finish the season with a bang.
