| You've signed yourselves a good 'un in Lama, regardless of what Neil Barker says.

| Quote ="MarioRugby"I'm obviously not a Saints fan but I have been reading your forum and as a rugby fan who has watched Lama Tasi extensively these past 2 seasons I'm amazed that some of your fans seem to think Tasi is going to be a world class signing. I can assure you he wont be.
Tasi is an average squad player at best. His line speed and defence in the line is questionable at best. His only contribution to games is one or two big hits he puts in once every 40 minutes on average. Annoyingly, some fans only seem to remember these hits and it gives them a little cheer but they forget the other 40 minutes a game he plays where he's being ripped apart by fast play the balls.
On top of this he's gained himself a reputation (correctly or not i dont know) of enjoying the night life in Manchester and he was on a booze-up with Chase in France this summer which meant they missed training and I believe both faced disciplinary action and Chase has now had his contract terminated.'"
I suspect the vast majority of Saints fan dont believe we've signed a world class player. In fact I bet the majority have hardly seen him play and are just hoping he will do a good job for us. For starters I'm more hopeful than expectant

| Not worried about his form at Salford where - along with several other players - morale seems to have taken a nosedive.
A change of environment will do him a world of good. Seems physically capable. Unfortunately he'll have to live with incessant comparisons with Mose which will likely be the making or end of his Saints career.

| I think I'll like Tasi, he seems to have a bit of spark and aggression in defence, which is something we miss. He'll not bring the massive plays that Masoe did, but they didn't happen every set.
Perhaps SAvelio will have developed sufficiently to now bring the magic and Tasi will be the extra grafter we missed at times last year.

| It's not like we're pinning all our hopes on Tasi - after Walmsley Amor and Savelio , I see Tasi being the 4th prop in our starting 17. Battling with Greg Richards for his spot

| I'd put walmsley into that impact role. He can do big minutes but walmsley and savellio coming on after amor and tasi have soaked up what the opposition can do will be a threat to any side.

I would also make sure Vea is on the pitch when Amor and Tasi are in tandem to beef up the forward attack.

I got torn to shreds when I said this last year. I said use Alex as impact and start with mose as mose had no impact for 90% of the season.
However, I've changed my mind as we need Alex on to start as he's the only player with any go forward

| Amor for me gets lost in Alex's shadow when played together- he showed at Leeds that he's still 'got it' . I'd like to see them interchange with each other more next year with Savelio and Tasi doing the same

I don't know, but I suspect that Amor played much of last season with an injury that was hampering him. I'm hoping to see him back to his old self after a full off-season.

His performances were well behind his ones from 2014 for the majority of the season and they suddenly jumped back up for the run in.
The pack has to perfom as a group and, although Tasi might not have Mose's ability when at full tilt, he can still bring a lot to the table. He seems aggressive, which can never be underestimated - Vila was never the greatest forward on the team sheet, but he ticked a lot of boxes that others couldn't.

Tasi has the potential to be class and I think he will go on to be one of the best props in the league at Saints. He's only 24 as well.

IF we do, then we're golden in the forwards for next season, with Savelio graduating.
I would be tempted to essentially rotate Greenwood and Thompson in the back row. Greenwood started so brightly, but it felt like a long season for him. He likes a physical battle, you can tell by how aggressive he is in defence, but his high centre of gravity meant that days "in the grind" could be extremely tough on him. It will be interesting to see what sort of weight he's put on in the off season.

I'd be tempted to include Vea in the rotation to keep him fresher for the business end of the season. Some of our forwards did look a touch jaded towards the back end of last season an Tasi will help to keep the props fresher. I loved Mose for his impact but his workrate was poor. Our pack is more rounded and has more genuine depth than last year. It's the backs where I think we could be in trouble following any injuries.

| Barker/Mario seems to think the sun shines out of his own cloaca, when in fact, he's just a very poor troll. He continues to speak of himself in the third person and pretends to be a Salford fan (Why the fook you'd pretend to be a Salford fan I don't know) even though he was part of a Wigan fan group on Twitter. Please remember, good Saints fans, that this imbecile is not representative of all the decent Salford fans that frequent these boards, and just continues to try and pour negative vibes the way of us real fans.
As for Tasi, well, I think he'll do great for you guys. He's young, fit, enthusiastic and got plenty of development left in him which can only lead to better things. He was great for us in his time, and given the right environment will take the next step up to be a really decent prop.

| My view on Lama Tasi having watched him play a lot is that he never realised his full potential in a Salford shirt. He showed glimpses at times of his strength near the try line but he often missed games and isn't what I consider a prop with long minutes in him. Perhaps he didn't thrive in the negative environment at Salford over the past two years and I'd expect him to do much better for you guys in a more competitive team.

I think most Saints fans would not argue with what you say he has potential to be good or lazy like Mose
