Played well and showed some of what he could offer if played as a ball playing Loose forward , he could really be the '3rd' halfback like Scully used to be.

Thats how I see him, a ball playing 13. It would help our young halfbacks of Gaskell and lomax if wilkin can get even 70% of what he showed today.

Played really well, was definitely my MoM. He needed to stand up and get you round the park today as Eastmond obviously can't be bothered and I thought he did it extremely well, kicking wasn't too bad either.

Precisely. He is wasted as a workhorse second rower, whenever he is given additional responsibility he comes up with the goods. Give him the 13 shirt and leave him there.

didnt really appreciate what a briliant kicker he is. i called the 40/20 way before any of the sky pundits and what a kick it was, as well as the others that got us up to their end and how many offside penalties did they concede with his kicking which im sure led to a try or 2 for us??

Great game from Wilkin. really played his heart out today aswell as the other 16 players on the field. I am very proud to be a St Helens Fan at this moment in time. The injuries we have had and the young kids have come in and been awesome. Very proud.

Fully deserving of the MOM award. His kicking game along with Saints aggressive defense in that second half got Saint's back into the game. However he'll be back to his usual anonymous self next week.

I would hope that against Sheffield he will stand out,hopefully they will put the game to bed in the first half and rest players if they can then.

I mean anonymous as in the Good Friday derby. Where Wilkin was completely and utterly anonymous. As opposed Hoffman who tore to pieces Gardner, Shenton and Lomax, and was without doubt the best backrower on the pitch.

Seeing as you've compared Wlkin against Hoffman. How about we compare Wlkin against Liam Farrel. A youngster with less than 50 games against his name. Liam makes more meters per carrie, more tackles and marker tackles per match. With less missed tackles and less mistakes. All from a guy who plays 40 minutes a match compared to Wilkin's 80.

That was started by the genius Anderson, who preferred Flannery at loose IIRC.
