Great. But he played there at the start of the season and looked great then. He should stay there. He looks great. (Oh, and he played very well too! )

It's the first time for a long time this season where we have played 2 props, rotated with 2 props, if you count megennis as a prop with LMS.
Will Royce stick with this if he gets a fit clough back and leave TP at prop.'"
I thought wilkin played well but wasnt involved as much as he's been in recent games, if that's down to the position change I dint know. I think wilkin has been the best British backrow in super league this season.
I thought it was strange we didn't use magennis or Kyle more than we did on such a very hot day. We never seem to use all the players on the bench as often as we should.

| Just got back from the game. You were too good for us in all departments today. However have to say Kris Welham's chase and tackle of Meli was absolutely fantastic and made my afternoon bearable (just)
Good luck against Wigan.

| I know I shouldn't laugh but was it lovegrove who took the knock to his head and lost the plot?
He could hardly stand up, the physio tried to get him off but then run in to the line and attempted a few tackles before he got escorted off.

I expected more from you, you were really poor and your completion rate was terrible.
Saints were brilliant at times though, as good as we've been all season. Some of our tries were sensational, with Roby's probably being the pick.

To be honest I expected to win by about 20 points but with it being a tough hard fought game which it wasn't.
I thought hull kr looked poor. Dropped the ball far to much and was opened up far to easy.
I expected Dobson to kick wello to death but he was playing behind a beaten pack and was missing nearly all the game.

I thought they played OK in patches especially when they tried a few offloads. The problem was they didn't see enough ball due to forced errors and getting pinged by the ref around the ruck area. Don't know why Newton is on the outside at centre he doesn,t seem to offer anything in attack.
I was expecting a similar game to the previous superleague game, but Saints have gone up a few notches since then with getting most of there players back from injury.

I definitely expected a tougher game but I think in the end we really stepped up big time and your guys weren't quite at the races.

| talking of great tackles, i thought Makinsons in the first half to stop Welham scoring was magnificent.
He just stopped him dead in his tracks on a one on one with Welham running flat out to smash his way over the try line.
What made it even more impressive was that Welham was completely wrapped up and could not put the ball down.

That's the second try saving tackle he has made in as many weeks. It was tremendous. He is looking like a very promising prospect on that wing, is Makinson. Secure under the high ball, working hard in defence, taking the ball up, got pace, looks for work, can score tries. If Garder is re-signed, he will have a fight on his hands getting his wing spot back if Makinson continues to develop at the present rate.
IMO, obviously.

| Im not sure Thaler helped us out much at the start of the game, 2 of the first trys looked dodgy to me. Both what looked like handling errors from Saints players from what I remember, would like to them on telly before I really start ranting and raving lol.
We was outclassed all over the park, which to be honest I expected.

| Nice and easy. I didnt expect us to win by such a score, I was thinking maybe a 20 point win margin. We played very well, Hull KR were just torn apart and dismantled for fun. Real nice display from the redvee men.

He made two try savers with that one being as good as I've seen all season, I thought he was excellent yesterday.
The corporate man of the match was an odd choice however, I thought Shenton had a bit of a stinker considering our dominance. They must have had more of an eye on the champagne. Plenty of others to choose from too, any of the front row including Roby or Pryce for mine.

We did try and force it a couple of times, but he's all of a sudden a lot more threatening. It will be interesting to see some highlights.
Not my MoM though.

| I thought Rovers were poor yesterday. Defensively, not only did their defence sit back it also fell off far too many tackles and I think it's indicative of a team which has either switched off (although I can't see that with it being a cup quarter final) or run out of ideas. I'm thinking the latter because the last two years they've stagnated a bit and this year has been a drop from those stagnating years when I think their fans would have been hoping for pushing the top four. That Rovers haven't been able to push on suggest their game plan/coaching is stale and has fallen behind what's currently happening in the league.

They need a shake up. they've a pretty tough pack on their day, but they failed to hold ours at all. I thought Clint Newton was the only forward that really managed anything - looking dangerous with the ball and managed a mighty shot on Graham at one point.
