Not really, Longy was let go because they found his attitude a bit off line with their strict catholic beliefs. He was always obviously talented.

If I remember, Widnes lost to Barrow on their own patch earlier in the season. They weren't happy about this. But maybe Barrow is their bogey team. Or perhaps Barrow are as you say out to impress for success. Where are they in the Championship just now? I'm too lazy to check. I probably shouldn't be so lazy.

Yes, it looks like they will swap places, which won't go down well in Widnes! Still, plenty of the season yet to go.

Barrow are a very capable looking outfit - that margin of victory didnt flatter them at all, Pack got right on top and that was it- Widnes just had a shocker

Ste Tyrer is looking forward to getting some first team game time - but the plan is definitely to go back to Bridgend at the end of the loan spell

For what it's worth Widnes are in all sorts of disarray at the moment on the field and are as far from competing at the top of the championship as Batley.

Tyrer was pretty poor in his spell at Widnes last year and a lot of the (remaining) Widnes fans are questioning re-signing him. Also it looks like he's been on the pies a bit much in South Wales.

This loan spell is waste of His time, Widnes time, Saints time and Celtic's time.

More fool Widnes for footing the bill.
