Saints have said on Twitter that Lomax (who apparently got a knock) and Swift are both ok. They didn't say anything about Greenwood though, which IMO is ominous.
I listened to the game on Wish FM. Sounds like Walsh, Hohaia, Robes, Lomax all had good games though, as has been said, the game sounded more like an opposed training session than a match. However, that could be good for us in some ways as it gives us chance to get our attack back in order just in time for us to work on our defence!
How did we play? Were we any more cohesive in attack than against London?

| I think it was a very good result. We can say all we want about Bradford but they could have scored at times today.
Our defense was pretty solid. Just the one occasion where we went to sleep and the dummy half nearly waltzed over the line.
The attack was a bit slap dash at times. But the defense was the place where I was hoping we would improve and we did.
Greenwood put in a really good shift. Mose crunched 2 or 3 with his tackles.
And Roby looked more in sorts than he has been recently.
Thought Walsh was a bit slap dash with some of his passes.
But overall very pleased. Just goes to show you need a full half of games before you can judge where the teams lay..
Best attack and 3rd best defense. With Huddersfield left to play in the first half of the season.

Are those two linked or where more people than Walsh 'slap dash'? And what actually do you mean by 'slap dash'? In the context of the game I mean (I do know what the phrase means!).

Well the first half our attack did not seem to structured. I think the 3rd try was when we actually put on a play. The first try was due to a good break from Dawson from deep and Bradford let him waltz through.
Sometimes the passing just did not seem very slick. Passes to above head height, passes to knees. It was not poor, just not slick, which may have been a reflection of who we where up against.
But the defense more than made up for it for me.

So I think we might have Sav coming into the 17 next week against Warrington, increased firepower.

| I'd imagine Laffranchi is due to be back soon.
It's not just greenwoods hard yards, he was pretty reliable defensively and I think until the injury was doing a full 80.

Ah right. We've been like that pretty much all season to be fair, in parts at any rate. It's not especially good but, as you said, defence was the key although did Bradford seriously challenge us defensively? I hope we aren't going to be in for a shock next weekend!

In the update, Saints said they didn't know when he would be back as he has suffered nerve damage.

Hard to tell how we played really as the bulls was very very bad. We didn't get out of 2nd gear. Like someone said, it was like a training session.
I can see how Wigan put 86 on them!

You made it sound like we were throwing the ball all over the place, chaotically like. I was worried that Walsh and the team had lost the plot.

Or maybe it was just that Warrington were worse than Bradford last week?
We shouldn't get carried away though. That was a fine win and a testament to playing our key players for two consecutive weeks, but we lost two good players to injury and Bradford from all accounts on the radio were a pretty lost bunch. I just hope we keep our heads, work hard in training and apply ourselves in attack and defence from now on in, building on what we achieved today.'"
Are you actually saying something nice for once about St. Helens . You usually slag off the players & N B and really think you know about the game. If you really support St. Helens do it by posting your support for the team

You've come to the wrong place for that. Although I agree with your post, a lot don't do that on here. They're always looking for the negatives and trashing the side whenever they don't win 50-0.

I am a St. Helens fan who will support the players and coaching staff in good times and bad. You and others always only find the negatives when we win or lose there is no pleasing you. You must realise that you are feeding all the other clubs with the negatives you believe in which of course the real St. Helens fans don't believe a word of. As I have said before on here if your not happy support another team ,St. Helens do not need support like yours.

St. Helens needs every supporter possible. Positive, negative, indifferent, it doesn't matter. You may not agree with the views by some, but if they're putting money into our great club, they are as entitled to it, as you are yours.
I'm an immortal optimist, and will happily call up knee jerkers and doom mongers (and "realists"icon_wink.gif but we are all here because were saints through and through, and ultimately want to see our team successful.

You need to get use to Saints Fan, she is a school teacher by profession so tolerance, flexibilty of performance in the team will be zero........a hard task master in a way.
Her weakness is the younger players in the squad.

I know! All I've done is ask for clarification of your term 'slap dash' coz I didn't go to the match myself.
Just watched the highlights of the tries. Man do we look a sexy team when given half the chance!

| Watching the highlight, you may be right.
Look at Wilkin's first try, in the build up, he hits a line into traffic only for the ball to be knocked down. Luckily we recover and he goes over later in the play.
For his second try, its essentially the same move. The difference is that a) the pass was sweeter and b) it was the correct choice of play as there were less people watching him.
Practice, practice, practice, guys.
(And, as Scully will tell you, practice doesn't make perfect, [iperfect[/i practice makes perfect)
