| Kyle was poor on Saturday.
I was trying to decide whether it was lack of interest or lack of fitness. I'm tempted to go for the latter.
Lack of interest would have explained the first 65 minutes, but when we were well into the comeback, there were time when Kyle got the ball and Wigan were on the back foot - easy pickings for a player of Kyles pace and power, but he still chose to pass. Even if he wasn't that comitted, the circumstances would surely mean you'd give it a bash, wouldn't it?
Let's see what next week brings.

Well, if it was the former, he wouldn't have done things like that try-saving interception which he tracked to the line.
I don't understand the need to slate the lad after his first full match following what was serious injury. His surgeon advised only 30 minutes game time for the Huddersfield friendly and that was only just over a week ago. I am amazed that he managed the full 80 minutes considering he has had two operations and that all the signals coming from Saints were that he would likely miss the first couple of games.
Once he gets back up to speed we will see him take on the line more, kick with accuracy and pull off great passes. He was rusty on Saturday but the hit out will have done him good.

Two things are causing people to over react imo - a)We have high epectations of Kyle and b)people are over critical becuase of the talks of him leaving.

I think you're right. Lets remember, he has probably had minimal preseason practice to get things right and half back is the toughest position in a lot of regards. Getting through a derby match against the champions in one piece would be enough to boost my confidence if I were him.

Anyway, I hope he stays and kicks on. Even if he does stay, he has a lot to learn to become a great scrum half - kicking game, passing gamke and timing his runs. In his favour, unlike so many he has the raw materials to make it though.'"
Spot on. I said on here when Lee Smith came back to RL that I was glad, even though he always does well against us.
True about Eastmond also, he still has a lot to learn - will he be given the time and the support in Union?

Spot on.
I thought Kyle did a good job considering he's barely played in the last 8 or 9 months and there was the added pressure on him as he didn't have Leon Pryce alongside him. He'll get alot better in the coming weeks, especially when his future is sorted too, which is a bit distracting also.

I believe that he is being mentored by Ellery Hanley, but that too may just be a fairy tale

| Spoke to Eamon in 'The City Inn' on Sat in Cardiff, He said they'd offered as good a deal as possible to Kyle and was hoping he'd stay but the club can't match RU offers for any player
Got the feeling he knew Kyle was going but it was just a feeling, gave nothing away and he'd sunk a few by then!!

Yeah, I hope he stays with us but don't want this coming up with him every other season, especially if he doesn't stay (relatively) injury free. Were the two yawnion clubs mentioned chasing him when he suffered his terrible run of injuries last season?
It's not his fault but I feel a bit cheated that we have not had the opportunity yet to see him hit top form for a prolonged period

Hopefully he goes straight away, or otherwise avoids a Chris Ashton "pose in the shirt" type situation! ![Very Happy icon_biggrin.gif](//www.rlfans.com/images/smilies//icon_biggrin.gif)

| It's better for us to know now. I'm sure he will do his best for us for the rest of the season and will want to go out on a high. Such a massive shame to lose a young player to another sport after putting so much into our youth system though, it's a kick in the teeth that the RFL need to sort out before a trickle turns into a stream.
Losing him to the NRL helps Englands chances, even losing him to Wigan is better for our sport as much as it would hurt. Losing him to Union just leaves a bitter taste that is difficult to take.
We definitely need to keep hold of Graham and/or Pryce now.

| If he stays until the end of the season I hope the fans are sensible and get behind one of our best players rather than boo him every week.
Can't help but think it will be easier for all concerned if he leaves with immediate effect, as much as I would like to watch a full season of Kyle as our 7.

Not sure as we have no direct replacement for him. If we lost Pryce to injury we'd be buggered in the halves. At least if he went at the end of the year we'd have time to find a replacement. On the other side of the coin, I'd hope if he did go now we'd get a big fee for him to help us fund a new player.
