I was under the impression you could only get in the HKR side if you can run the 100 under 10 seconds ? Isn't it pace which is going to see HKR overtake Saints this season according to you ?

Anyway, back on topic, Puletua is performing amazingly right now and hopefully it continues.

Superb game from him yesterday. Not much to compete against, but superb.

Lets all calm down a bit.

He has only played what 6 games. Also he has shown he suffers a little with fitness.

However I must say I have been very impressed with him at times and hope it continues.

As for the best forward ever in SL - do me a favour. We can name a few in the Saints team alone without even going to the other teams.

Time will tell - but a VERY good signing none the less.

Most of what you say has merit, but calling an 80 minute forward unfit

I was referring to him getting unjured very early in his Saints career and also he seemed to struggle to fitness after that with a couple of lack lustre performances.

Don't get me wrong I like what I see VERY much.

I sincerly hope we get an 80 minute forward I just hope he doesn't turn out to be a 15 minute one like Fatty Feka!!

I think he is definitely an 80 min man. My only concern with a 29yrold 80 min forward is injuries, he cant keep that up for ever and i definitely dont want him to go the way of JC

Let's be honest here, tony p has looked a top buy but to say he best forward ever in SL is utter crap.

I could name alot of better forwWars than tony p.

Let's judge after few years but better than fairleigh? Applo? Peacock? To name just a few.

Oh come on, hes better than Graham Appo! No way he could have done a job at prop.

I'd just like to bring this thread up again and show how much many people over-reacted to one good performance.

He hasn't played half as good since the Cas game after all the Numty's calling him the best forward ever.

I still have hope for this guy but he still seems lazy to me.

He needs to pick it up a bit.

He played OK in defence but for a 'strike' forward he's not showing enough for me.

The team needs a week off more than anything...

The team shouldn't need a week of at this stage in the season. I think we're missing Apollo.

Also, I'm not impressed by Tony P. He's been poor a few times now and tonight I think he lost the ball three times and did very little in terms of go forward. Fas had a better game than he did.

Maybe he is just having a dip in form?

It's impossible to maintain a high level of energy and performance over an entire season, or even half a season. Leeds wiltered early, probably due to the WCC and World Cup and we're doing it at the moment.

This could be close to the truth.

We haven't looked a fit side all season - or not as fit.

I don't expect us to maintain a 'high level of energy and performance' over an entire season but we look half the team we did this time last season (when we had begun our 23 non-losing streak). We don't look like we have much energy or performance at all, really.

He is actually making lots of yards and being a big threat when on the pitch. I just think because of the cas game fans have got it into their heads that he should score trys for fun and rampage over teams making 40 yard breaks. When he doesnt do that they shrug their shoulders and say he is playing crap.

Someone who knows the score.

A good coach will realise when to tell his players to hold off individually. Yes, we would all love Tony P to play 60 mins a game at a high level of intensity for the entire season, but sometimes its not possible and thus, the coach will know when to tell them to lower their intenisty.

rather have tony p on my side than against me, devastating off loader and rampaging runner, and the hits he puts in must make the opposition whincey willis...
