The pressure i refer to, is pressure in the game, when a team gets on top and his putting you on the back foot.

The Wigan game could of gone either way we put a 20 min spell in on them in the first half and they couldn't live with it, they came back a got it though.

Hudds put us under massive pressure not only did we cope with it we managed to break through the best defence of last season and so far this season on there own patch.

Mmm, although that was all about Solomona's dropped ball on the tryline really, wasn't it? You should have won that match even though you went through your traditional dip after Briers left the field!

He gets it down we win could of easily been a draw if Bridge hadn't missed his kick, just took us time to regroup after he went off but we have shown we can win without him since then which says alot about the team this season.

No doubt you look good this year and will no doubt challenge for all 3 cups on offer, yet still feel wolves not good when teams put pressure on them.

Can I just say as a Wigan fan I'm gutted this game isn't on TV, especially if Saints get battered.



Should be a great game, and may give a little indication of how both teams will fair this year when coming up against other "big teams".

It'll be interesting to see who Saints have back, and likewise whether Briers returns, as that'll no doubt have a large bearing on who win's the game.

Saints will raise their game next week. It'll be a classic match and I can't wait. I fancy our chances if we've got Gidley, Wellens and TP back.

i have no idea how this game is gonna turn out, but as a warrington fan, i am hoping and praying that we win saints once and for all

Was in Warrington last night after the game and amongst all the giddy Wire fans was a former ex-Wolf and GB international, Ronnie Duane. His dispassionate assessment of next week was quite interesting. 'Wire are not really that good, and Saints are capable of playing at a much higher level than they have been doing so far'.
Looks like a last minute drop goal victory to the S, then.

If Briers plays we need to keep him quiet. A few big hits on him etc. and he will go missing. I noticed when wire played Wigan the other week Wigan took Briers out and went on to win. We need to do the same. However Wire still have some gamebeaters in their side who can do a lot of damage and we need to protect Leon and Kyle.

Our pack has a massive job on it's hands. The wolves pack is big and rough. If we match them upfront we are in with big shout.

Never write Saints off.

Get in their faces and don't give them time and space to play and we're more than capable

Where this season is concerned though, the big IF is whether we will actually do what you suggest (which I agree is what we should do).

I've had a feeling they've been building up to this though... but thats my opinion...

Warrington look very impressive and Saints will have to improve 10 fold to be within chance of winning. Matt King was quality last night and Adrian Morley was immense for 80 minutes a top effort!

I agree. All we need to do is get our strongest 17 on the paddock week in week out. We have a side thats capable of beating anyone in Super League but injuries are just killing us at the moment. People are writing us off and I am quite happy for them to do that.

I'm a bit bemused by the whole 'Wire only had a good 10 minutes, which won the match' argument??

Is this from Saints fans, who over the years have seen their side make a habit of beating Wire, by just having the odd, good 10 minutes of a match??

I think what neutrals have to appreciate about Wire under Tony Smith, is that finally we have a side which plays for a full 80 minutes, and which can dig in and play the ugly side of the game, which was always the problem under Cullen.

Last night's game was a classic example....60 minutes of rough, tough rugby, but what was painfully obvious was that Bradford were being worn down, so that in the final quarter they were out on their feet, giving Wire the opportunity to tear them apart, which they duly did.

Its no coincidence that in 4 of our 6 matches this season, we have kept the opposition scoreless in the second half. That's an impressive statistic by anybody's standards.

I think (and hope) that Friday's game will be a classic, but unlike recent encounters, I don't forsee an open, high scoring game. Indeed the opposite is more likely, with the way Tony Smith has Wire set up nowadays.

Alot will depend on the injuries, Soliola, Wello and TP should be back, less certain with Gidley. Different intensity this week and we are playing better footy this year, and spanked Bradford at their place by 40.

Quietly confident if we can get out most of our big guns.

IMO if Briers is back this will be an advantage to Saints. Wire have being playing very well without him and relying on other different p;ayers to do the work instead, abit like how we started to play better when Hock was banned, arguably our best player but we relied on him to get us out the shít all the time, just like Wire do with Briers
